  1. Was it directly from the club or its solicitors?

Too much to drink last night, nowt to do with his age.
  3. Agreed, it's almost as if saying anything against Shepherd is personal to him. Like it or not but discussing the board is as important as talking about players, they're all links in the chain that is the football club.
  4. And once again you post something that doesn't even come close to resembling the truth, well done Leazes, it is OK to call you that isn't it? By the way, they were the last to win a cup in Europe, something your idol has failed to do for 10 years even though he has had the best tools at his disposal.
  5. Why would anybody remember something that didn't happen? I remember things that others don't remember, it doesn't automatically mean I'm any better than them. I bet you're now going to tell us that you still have the letter that was in with the returned cheque.
  6. I would like to see something like that going back to the old board just so we would know where to point the finger for the state of the club before Sir John turned up. McKeag gets a lot of the blame but I think his hands were probably tied because of what he took over, I'm not saying he would have done better if he'd had a bit more to work with. Stan Seymour tried to do something while he was at the club but didn't have the bottle to push on and take the club up a level, I have no idea how much of this was down to finances but even what he did achieve wouldn't have happened without the brewery putting cash into the club to pay for Keegan. Where did it all go wrong? I guess that we'll never know. I do know that a journalist was going to do a book on the mismanagement of the club, somebody who worked for the Journal or Chronicle, I don't think he ever took it any further than thinking about it. I would love to read a well researched book to get an idea of the decisions reached and what information was used to come to these decisions.
  7. Nice Santa Clause impression above. Getting old, poor memory or just more interesting things to remember. If it was more important then I would have remembered, if it had happened and the money came out of my bank account then I would have remembered, it didn't happen so it was no more than a pledge and the money was spent elsewhere.
  8. I don't think Taylor has progressed at all this season, he needs an old head next to him so that he can learn from them. Campbell or Woodgate would have really helped him if we'd got one of those two in.
  9. I have no doubt at all that he'll read it and agree with it as it just about sums up our current situation.
  10. I've not seen it but the title gives enough of a hint as to what it's about. You're right above though, it is catch 22, damned if we do spend and damned if we don't as we're in such a state, at least we've got the extra money coming in soon from Sky, it's just a pity a lot of it will go towards financing our debt instead of strengthening the playing staff.

He's not a very good advert for reaching 52, I'm shit scared just thinking about my 52nd birthday.
  12. Actually you know I've answered this in the past, I did try to but shares in the club when Sir John wanted to the fans to buy in. The fact that I thought the minimum amount was £500 isn't relevant as it was so long ago. I can't even remember how I applied but it was probably something which was printed in the Chronicle but I wouldn't hold my breath on that being right.

You are LeazesMag, you told me that a long time ago in a pm, we both know the truth and you'll only be fooling yourself if you deny it.
  14. Look, let's get this straight. If you don't come up with an answer then the clubs debt problems are down to you the same as the clubs problems are down to those who supported Souness once he was given the managers job, they have nothing to do with anybody else. God, you're a slow learner.
  15. Agreed, Bagio, it's up to you to solve our debt problem, sort it out and quick.
  16. I've just been in chat, I think he's got more than this one to worry about.
  17. If being unable to see into the future is a sign of me losing my marbles then it's possible. If expecting people to be able to see into the future is a sign then you're the one losing your marbles.
  18. It is prity straightforward when you put it thay way but you were dropping things in different posts, one was after I had made a comment yet you expected me to know something before you'd said it, you even claimed that I'd commented about something but you hadn't even posted it until after I'd actually commented. I don't have any problem with it, I was wondering why you were in the corner of the Gallowgate when you'd claimed in the past that you had a season ticket in the Paddock but you've cleared that up.

He's not doing too bad since taking the job on, they were 12 points behind the league leaders when he was given it, it'll be down to 4 points if Bayern win tomorrow and they're in QF of the Champions League and have a good chance of reaching the semi-final. It'll be intereesting to see what happens at the end of the season when they start talking about an extended contract, they want him to stay for another couple of years.
  20. Again, learn to read or comprehend, I have no idea which is causing you the problem but it's one of those two. I’ve actually said that I’ve replied so you should take care when making accusations, brain before fingers. It’s a waste of time trying to get anything through to you, it’ll go straight over your head. It would appear that the saying is correct that you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink, at least it is in your case. Do you - or do you not - agree that a board who runs a club that qualifies for europe more than any other club bar 4 during the course of a decade, buys major England internationals and oversees an average 50,000+ gate, is running the club better than a board who spends the vast majority of the time in the 2nd division or fighting relegation, sells its best players and struggles to half fill a stadium to be making a better job of running the club ? Yes or No ? You can't answer with a yes or no.
