  1. That's shit luck, I hope that you stay strong and beat it.
  2. Finishing 4th isn't winning a trophy, you'll have a better chance of winning one if you're one of the top 4 clubs but it's still not a trophy, no matter who or how anybody tried to dress it up.
  3. Here's his interview if anybody has missed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6X_zJWnox8
  4. He talks like a gibbering idiot.
  5. He also claimed that he's now definitely going to try to win something, does that mean he wasn't trying to win something in the past?
  6. He did, he had no alternative to that though because he's ultimately responsible. At the same time he was blaming Llambias and Charnley for appointing managers. He claimed that the only think he was directly responsible for was the finances. He even claimed that he would continue investing in the club while he's investing nothing.
  7. No doubt he has a veto but I do think he relies on Charnley et al on football issues. I read the TV interview as saying that Charnley is going to survive and get a chance to bring in his own man. I think there was an admission that the squad is too small and lacking in sufficient quality. Also a move to compete in the cups. What was also significant was that Ashley /Bishop arranged the interview independently of NUFC. He's looking after his personal reputation and distancing himself from the Carver decision. I thought the interview was a positive thing yesterday, not so much for the content, but that he felt the need to give it. As many have said we'll all know more once a coaching team is assembled. The TV interview was a case of 'I'm unpopular but it's not my fault so please leave me alone.'

    John Carver

Yesterday has proven that the players are not as bad as the results have suggested and it's all down to Ashley, Charnley and Carver. The players were self motivated yesterday because they needed a result and they got one. Since January they haven't been motivated and nobody within the club was capable of motivating them. Get a decent manager in, upgrade the squad and we could do reasonably well, even with the pricks we have in charge. The only problem we have is that the pricks in charge aren't likely to get a decent manager and if they get one by mistake they're unlikely to know how to back him properly and they're just as likely to repeat mistakes than they are to learn from them. I will be surprised if Carver is manager next season, no sane person can look at his time in charge and think he's been anything other than a totally incompetent moron who has no grip on reality.

    Kevin Keegan

It's Keegan outlining why he feels his second stint didn't work out. Ashley wouldn't spend his money, and Keegan didn't have the free access to the owner that he had under Sir John Hall. He doesn't need to explain why his second stint didn't work out, the tribunal did that when they said he and the fans had been repeatedly lied to, idiot.

Ashley is a coward, he distanced himself from the negatives and tried to claim that he was responsible for our financial position when it's others who are responsible for that if he has as little input as he tried to claim. Yes he's loaned the club money but that isn't the reason we have £millions in the bank. The reason we have money in the bank is because we haven't spent it, unless he's claiming it on the grounds that he hasn't taken his loans back in full.

  12. Jonas was brilliant today and I wouldn't mind him getting another year as long as it's as back-up and not a first choice starter. If he isn't offered another year then today was the perfect way for him to go out. I wanted him to score more than any other player because of what he's been through medically and his poor treatment by the club.
  13. I hope the fat bastard nearly dies in pain every day he's alive.

Does he mention Gary Speed just to p*ss people off? He's clearly struggling mentally.

His win percentage was 30% and his points per game would have been 1.1 per game if it was 3 points for a win.

Dinnis was terrible, Carver is probably in another league because of the verbal diarrhoea and delusional outbursts because I can't remember Dinnis saying much, if anything. Dinnis would have had 1.6 points per game if we were getting 3 points for a win but his record is over parts of 2 seasons. Dinnis had a win record of just under 43%, again, spread over the end of one season and the start of the next. Carver is on 0.5 points per game and his win record is just over 10.5%, which one do you think is worse? Dinnis actually seems quite good with those stats. Another victory for the Brave One. I'm not sure those figures are correct for Dinnis, I'll see what I can find.

Way over the top. He's a crap footballer but I wish him well when he leaves as it's not his fault he's getting games and he seems to be a decent person.

Again, he spends most of the interview talking about him, I wonder if he's doing the same after the game on Sunday?
  21. I hope we go down, I hope Ashley goes and I hope I can get back to supporting my team.
  22. Have no problem with Colback starting if we had an actual game plan that he fit into. My problem is that we have absolutely nothing, and our coaching staff probably hold him in reverence thinking he's England's future captain. It's the perception of him by the club that is worrying, rather than his actual output. If they think he's the dog's bollocks (he isn't), and don't plan on buying a quality midfielder to properly replace Cabaye, then people are rightly going to have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to him. Is Siem not Cabaye's replacement? Colback to me is a more defensive minded midfielder, whereas Cabaye and Siem are both attack minded and would prefer to play at the top of a diamond. Colback has always been Tiote's replacement imo and he is much less erratic and better on the ball. It's not Colback's fault that Siem is allergic to football? Colback is a pointless player, others being worse than him doesn't make him any better.
