  1. Our left backs, do we have any that aren't playing? Seriously, Carver should just piss off and find another club.
  2. I'd virtually given up on him going but always hoped that something would change, I didn't expect a club to actually pay to take him off our hands.
  3. Na, he's lowering expectations already.
  4. Aye, that was the least surprising part of the interview.
  5. 805 posts in a day, god help anybody trying to catch up.
  6. A Big Mac at £7,000,000 is better value than Pardew at £3,500,000

  8. Alan Pardew: Crystal Palace appoint Newcastle manager Crystal Palace have appointed Newcastle boss Alan Pardew as their new manager. Pardew was given permission by the Magpies to speak with the London side after the two clubs agreed compensation on Monday. The 53-year-old replaces Neil Warnock, who was sacked on Saturday four months into his second spell in charge. Palace have yet to officially confirm the deal but BBC Sport understands Pardew signed his contract with the Eagles on Friday evening. Pardew was in the stands as Palace claimed a goalless draw at Aston Villa on New Year's Day, a result that kept the London club in the relegation zone. He leaves the Tyneside club with Newcastle sitting 10th in the Premier League. Alan Pardew at Villa Park Alan Pardew (left) was at Villa Park on New Year's Day along with Palace chairman Steve Parrish (right) After becoming Magpies manager in December 2010, former Reading, West Ham, Southampton and Charlton boss Pardew guided United to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League in 2012. But supporters on Tyneside called for Pardew - who was under contract until 2020 - to be sacked earlier this season when Newcastle were in the bottom three. The compensation package demanded by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has not been disclosed. Pardew has strong links with Palace having spent four years playing in their midfield from 1987, and he scored the winning goal as the Eagles beat Liverpool 4-3 after extra time in the 1990 FA Cup last four.
  9. 2nd January 2015, what a day.
  10. So the "fickle bunch" have wanted him out for over 4 years? That's me off to re-check the dictionary.
  11. My absolute preference would be Frank de Boer, even if it meant sticking with Carver until the summer.
  12. You should have drew her blood.
  13. I don't know if it's true but I've been told that the hold up is him wanting a bonus for leaving us in the top 10.

"I'm guessing we've got some young lads." Really, you're guessing that?
  15. really hope so for us, feel bad for him though. Wouldn't it mean he couldn't play for us if he's not travelling because of injury?
  16. This really is a Soap Opera and it's not down to us as we can do or say nothing until he signs a contract with Palace.
  17. SSN Surprised at no official announcement, don't read into that it's not going to happen.
  18. I know actually getting money for him seems good but it would be much better if this fell through and we told him to piss off.
  19. The Mail are claiming he's signing his contract this afternoon.
