Harper just seems much more assured when dealing with crosses and balls into the box. Given always looks a bit....fidgety during these times. I think Harper has better movement and positioning in the box. Whilst Given is probably the better, 'shot-stopper' he quite often finds himself flat-footed whereas Harper doesn't. Both keepers do not have the best distribution so not much to compare there though.

I don't even remember the last time we held possession of the ball and kept the opposition under pressure for such long periods of time.

Our overall ball distribution is good. Players are running into space and giving/receiving passes. *thumbs up*

Faye is definately a good defender (something we don't have much of). We should find a defender who is atleast of equal talent as Faye to partner him with young Taylor as our cover.

Beyond caring for this season anyway. We'll get through this season, we won't get relegated, this season was always going to be a give-away, it's truly a transitional season, it counts from next season.

We have two class defenders in Beye and Faye, and a decent first team/ future player in Taylor. We need to spend big on another class centre back which will cost around 12 mil, and another left back to fight for a place with enrique which sould cost around 7 mil. Then we need atleast one central midfielder worth around 20 mil, a 8-15 mil right winger with Milner staying to fight for a place. That's all I think we will need for this summer, 60 mil. Then we can see which signings go wrong, or which areas the team lacks in and bolster the squad further in january/next season.

Stop criticising Shearer for no apparent reason. He said no because he obviously doesn't want his shadow (which he has no control over) over Keegan. He's a good man, a legend who made this decision for the good of this club.
