I think we've been okay, it's quite obviously showing that we are the better team technically. We just need to learn how to handle the physical pressure of Derby. Our attacking has been okay-decent, Derby have been frantically blocking with numbers and we were unlucky a number of times (notably the blatant penalty and Martin's header being blocked off the line) but our defence has been poor. In this case I do agree, us only consceding one goal is down to Derby being crap not us being good. But attack-wise we've actually been alright. Don't agree with that whatsoever. You can only play what's infront of you. This game is practically a re-run of Birmingham at this rate, we were playing this well against Arsenal aswell. Just a stupid poxy goal at the start. But I agree that in Defence, it is more of a case of being them poor not us being good. Our defence has been horrid, most teams would have scored more on us. But attack-wise we've been okay.

Must say, Viduka was poor in the opening few minutes but he's been feeling his way into the game and finished very impressively.

Very impressed with N'zZogbia. Been our biggest threat. Martins looks wasted on the right, Smith is playing his heart out. Barton needs to come off for emre, though I'm not sure if Emre will be able to handle the physical pressure put on by derby. Main problem is that, though we are continuously attacking, Derby's physicality is constantly putting us under pressure. We need to spread the ball more and try to control the pace of the game, I think moving Milner to the right with Duff coming onto the left, and Emre coming on for Barton will allow us to do this.

8 mil is good for us, but we do sorta need him in January when martins goes. But I'm sure for 8 mil we can get a more than able replacement.

Wasn't it agreed that it was SBR's last season? Also was it not true that SBR said he will look for his successor using his global links in football to take Newcastle to the next level? Shepherd was a bastard for sacking Robson a season early for seemingly nothing. If we kept him another season, finished mid-high table then who knows where we would be now if we put in a SBR-chosen successor as manager. SBR was meant to look for his successor in his last season, Shepherd didn't give him this time, sacked him and made a pathetic attempt of an appointment in Souness.

This. Being a good footballer doesn't make you a good football manager, its a whole different skill set, same as in many walks of life. Yes but being a good footballer also doesn't automatically make you a bad football manager. Don't assume he'll make a crap manager just because he was a good footballer.

SWP Riquelme Babayaro out - Second Left Fullback in Carr out - Geremi and Beye to fight for RB place, though this is a big problem for January when both go on national duty. Then a big defensive midfielder who can dominate the centre.

I wish Martins had a good 20-30 mins this match, believe he could've won it for us, Owen was doing jack all the whole game.

Despite Ramos being a very exciting manager, Allardyce was and is the right man for us at this time. Our club was rusting from the inside, and whilst Ramos will probably have a big positive impact on Spurs, he would've just been another bobby robson for us. Sam Allardyce will give us the stability and slow but steady growth as we fix the problems, he'll give us exactly what we've been needing for a while. Ramos would have given us a spark and instant "success" (depending on how you describe success that is) but Allardyce will set us up for lasting/sustainable success.

It would be funny if the Ramos deal falls through and they end up with an average manager like Redknapp Fingers crossed it'll be souness.
