definitely mate he has done a fantastic job in the state he finds his resources in i dont like him as a bloke but you can only praise what he is doing at the moment tonight at chelsea you will see a team at its roots but he will still go for the victory and play with passion that is what i call a true manager Really? For me it's been the other way around for most of the season.

Maybe our scouts are shit at fm?

Dammit! I was gonna say something like that!

I voted LB RB and Forward, but come to think of it, since Solano is doing well at RB I guess we could leave him there and go for a central defender. I voted forward because we need to find a partner for martins, ofcourse sibbers has been doing great, but if he gets injured then our options are horribly thin.

So you want people to boo our all youngsters for making mistakes? For christs sake even Rooney and Ronaldo have their bad games and make mistakes. Baba is what...27? 28? He shouldn't be making schoolboy errors, if he plays absolutely rubbish he deserves to be booed, but not a developing 20 year old.

I don't think he is overrated, the reason we think he is overrated is because we rate him by his performances last season when he played as a defensive mid, he was indeed superb in that position as a holding midfielder, though his problem is sometimes that he releases the ball too slow so we can't do counter attacks, this season he has been going forward and though individually he looks better on paper (because he can score goals) our central mid as a whole doesn't work as well.

Nah probably won't happen, Roeder is sh!t scared that Milner will leave for Villa, however...since...supposedly Carr is on the "form of his career" anything is a possibility.
-
At the moment we're like a High School team, everyone puts their hands up and says "Can I take it? Can I take it?" But I say the best penalty takers we have is probably solano and Luque, yes I know you don't like Luque, but he has a calm experienced head who can slot the ball into the side of the goal. I also think that Martins should take the penalties to build up his goal-scoring confidence.

All I can say is, 9 points difference, it's a less steep of a margin to catch up for the top six than we had last year when Roeder first took over last season, I say we can do it, watch Portsmouth drop like a pebble in a fishbowl, watch the Toon rise.

'Dirtiest' <- depends what you mean by this, I vote Joey Barton for a dirty view.

Karma from Shola's goal against Everton. We're even now.
-
Well you're bluddy optimistic aren't ya?
-
"Redknapp Vs. Roader"? So after overusing the 'road' joke, almost making it a cliche, we're not even going to bother with the e now?
-
Mmm keeps repeating the same bs and conveniently ignores any posts that proves him room, eg the pompey only having half of their allocation which means toon has less than 1000 empty seats.

I just find it funny that this fellow is trying so bitterly hard to wind us up, yet noone seems to be even the slightest bit angry at his lame attempt, wish this guy had some brains, then we might've actually had an interesting debate.
-
Surely as a coach Shearer would be great to motivate the players, surely his presence will have a positive effect in the dressing room.
-
3-5-2? 3 defenders, solano and duff/n'zogbia as right/left wingbacks, parker, emre, dyer central mids, martins luque should be a good formation, shame Roeder doesn't play Luque.

I wouldn't mind newcastle being in the mid-bot table for a couple of years, even if we lose the likes of Duff and so on, to quietly build up our club with a new good manager for a few years then attack the top 6 again, for this to happen I believe we need belgravia or another company to take over, shepherd is going to go for the instant fix straight into europe.(meaning not signing players like sol campbell on a free but offering 8.5 mil to players like boumsong.)

I think the biggest problem at the moment is mentality, to be more specific, attacking/defending mentality. For example, we usually don't play good football for more than 45 mins of a match, we don't push for a goal nor defend for a long period of time, just drifting even when we have to ability to score, we let it go and try to take a more safer approach. Somtimes when we should go for the second goal or atleast keep to our game, we try to hold a one nil win for 70 minutes and let the opposition take control of the game, and yet sometimes when we really should get more people in defence, we pour them into attack and get countered. Going for a one nil win or a late goal grabbing strategy is definately frustrating, we need to react to different situations more quickly and know when we should apply more attacking pressure, when to ease it off, and when to put numbers in defence, once we get this down I think we'll win games. Roeder seems to have good/decent player management as we saw last year, so I didn't want to blame him, however this attacking/defending mentality problem that I think is our achilles heel (though this is ironic as we have many weaknesses not just one) I think that this problem can only be blamed onto the manager. So I do blame Roeder.

Is signing cassano. Link: http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=17160 Though it doesn't really say much and we ARE linked to hundreds of these kind of transfer bs every day, a huge player coup might be evident in Freddy's last ditch attempt to please the fans...

Houllier sounds frigging awesome.
-
Campbell and Mellberg.
-
But I hope if we do win then Roeder will get some credit, instead of everyone lauding Viera.
-
Seriously....cut the crap.

Fantastic balance.
