Don't think I'll ever get over the sale of Carroll, or forgive the 'owners' of the club (because that is all they are, owners) for their lack of ambition when selling him. I do not for one moment believe we are in a position where we "had to sell him" and "could not turn the offer down." The thought of him scoring 20+ goals a season for Liverpool and becoming the #9 for England for the next 10 years makes me feel quite ill tbh. Those who think that we aren't now a selling club, are in denial. The summer will be a true reflection of our direction with Barton,Tiote, and Enrique getting new contracts and some wise investments from that Carroll fee , i will be optimistic as i see this as a defining time for us and let us judge at the end of the summer transfer window . The re investment of the Carrol money seems to imply Pardew isnt in the loop of that Golfmag statement or simply is Golfmag wrong on the club sale side of things Pardew is fully aware of what's going on, that's why he got the job Noooooooooooooooooooo dont want to believe that

What's wrong with having them like? (No, I haven't btw) Thats my thought on it ,seeing whole arms with Tatts like Guthrie,Agger etc looks shit imho .Not condemming Tatts in general as musicians etc it fits the bill but footballers just dont look right so call me old fashioned but it doesnt look right to me .

If what we are to believe all the money from the Carroll sale is to be reinvested in the purchase of new players i would guess 20 million on players and the rest on fees and wages but this is Ashley we are dealing with here so anything can happen ,with Ben Arfa ,Gosling to come back and a replacement for Casholl to come in so i would guess 3 signings in the summer .

I was just going to print this very same article ,pretty long article based on joey Barton pre prison and not the one who came out a different person imho ,its so easy to make assumptions on someone a few hundred miles away but he makes Joey out to be some sort of devil worshipping child killer ,has he ever heard Joey in interview and i stress 3 years ago he was a bit naughty after a Football Focus one but since he came out of prison he has kept his nose clean and apart from a couple of minor incidents on the pitch has been a model professional,Going back to that tackle and i have watched it over and over from every angle he went in clean and no problem with that and also pulled Nolan off there keeper so hardly a thug .SOUR GRAPES
