Pardew is “worried” about Wednesday night’s visit to Fulham after admitting Carroll’s departure had sparked “disillusionment” throughout the training ground from masseur to top players. Just what we didnt want to hear if these words are true,Pardews first mistake in interviews imho and what he should be saying is "we have a big game tonight and its our chance to move up the table and maybe put a bit of a run together and put a bit pressure on the teams above us and take away any nagging doubts we can get dragged lower down the table and have to look over our shoulders" Before he said this i thought we could muster a draw even a win but not now .

Not if you factor transfer fees, signing on fees and wages into the equation. that occurred to me, lets say carroll was on 40k a week (which i doubt) we now have to bring in say 4-5 players to cover his loss and build up the squad a bit to make this worthwhile if you bring in 4-5 players with a combined value of 35m on transfer fees alone the wages involved outwith that would probably have to be in excess of 100k a week combined doesn't quite work does it? so effectively we'd be looking at maybe 20m on players and 15m on their wages, or whatever balance you like to guesstimate in other words, we're not gonna get a lot for our 35m in terms of actual bodies on the pitch imho While i was typing -

Not if you factor transfer fees, signing on fees and wages into the equation. So can some one do the maths ,if we sign 3 players on £6 million each for example and include wages and fees on 5 yr deals what will be left of the £35 million with our wage structure . -
Will always love my club whatever happens in time hopefully soon Ashley will go fingers crossed.

Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?

Yes well said, this is why this hurts a lot more than most outgoing transfers. Andy Cole for example was a tremendous talent but he had no real deep rooted loyalty for the club. We've been told though many times that Carroll was living his dream as a Geordie and loved the club. As I mentioned in another thread, its the lies that piss me off. It hurts more when it comes from a geordie

Its not the order of events I'm arguing with, its the events themselves. Anyone who reckons Carroll was made to put in a transfer request is a lunatic in my book (and that includes that horrible saggy faced contemptuous t*** on SSN). But to answer your questions. Obviously yes we've sold our best striker, no I'm not happy but I'm not as suicidal as some on here. All Newcastle fans deserve much better, from Andy Carroll. But as good a player as he is and as much as I supported him because he was a Newcastle player I've never been under the illusion that he's anything but a horrible big headed t*** in reality, so it doesn't surprise me that much. Where it puts Ashley's plan is actually totally in Ashley's hands, he can do alot with that money if its spent on the right players. £35m spent on 4 quality players would put us in a much better position then we were with Carroll in the side and no new players. I actually do believe we can progress, but the key will be the summer. The club should no longer be losing big money and we've received £35m for Carroll, so I expect major moves in the summer. Without them I'll lose any belief in Ashley. Doubt we'll receive £35 million all in one lump, like. Thats what pisses me off tbh ,we pay up front and no string hanging down and yet players leave us and that 35 million will be paid in installments for about 20 yrs ,ffs Ashley thats how football works and you are probably the only owner who works in this way .

Horrible end product. Not a touch of quality. Do you reckon Formica will be on the bench this weekend? No it will be piece of carpet

Knob jockey on the rumours board on Sky Sports "Andrew Porter (Newcastle United) says... stephen ireland rejects newcastle move. Due to the club not willing to pay 70 grand a week i work at newcastle football and you heard it first Hoy a butt plug up your ass and jump in a lake

:cheesy:Sky Sports sources understand Johan Elmander could be the man Newcastle turn to after offloading Andy Carroll to Liverpool. The Swede is currently with Bolton but will see his contract expire at the end of the season and the Trotters may look to cash in :cheesy: OMG this is this

See ya but if think your safe it wont happen same as Carroll is going no where :-[

Is Pardew just a yes man for the cunts upstairs or does he think he can make a difference cos i for one dont have a fucking clue anymore and his press conference tomorrow will be interesting as what Otter says he will be rehearsing his shit now then hoying it in the bin and saying "fuck it dont know what to say"
-
I for one hope he can turn himself around ,i show no malice or ridicule for his style and taste but i want him to help us keep climbing up the table so good luck and show the fuckers what you can do,Cithe didnt want him and that was a huge blow to him after what i consider a great season for him and being a make wait in a transfer must have hurt him and this time its different as we want him so good luck .

makes me sick tbh i dont believe a word most players say anymore

How irritating that he's making comments about Liverpool and not us. (Or maybe being forced by who ever is interviewing him.) Love ya Al, but I couldn't give a s*** about Liverpool. If he is getting interviewed about the Liverpool situation the is no need to bring us into it tbh .

Its incredible that this scenario, which is you're opinion not fact, leaves Carroll completely blameless. Correct, it is my opinion. It's speculation on a situation that simply cannot be credibly taken at face value. For Andy, I believe that money talks and in the end, once he sees that he has a chance to win trophies at 3x the pay, he's going to do it. When he sees the club willing to sell him, it reiterates that the club aren't serious about winning or spending. Makes the decision to put in the transfer request much easier. For me, the blame is primarily on Ashley, less on Carroll. He has no intention on getting us to European football, which should be his goal. The business model he believes in of being a shoestring club that develops young/low-wage players and selling them off may be good for his bottom-line, but for any fans who are serious about competing for Europe and building a club that aims for winning shiny silver things that go in nice glass cabinets, you should be aware very much by now that Michael Ashley does not share your ambition. How the f*** is Carroll blameless. He got a new f***ing contract in November. Shearer could have joined Man Utd at various times when he was at NUFC to be the richest footballer on the planet and didn't. Thats the difference Shearer was loyal and Carroll isnt even after his lies to the Chronicle today he still went and i dont understand the transfer request why and what does he gain from it ,the transfer request will anger us for along time if it isnt explained .

Tonights Chronicle and i bet they regret putting this shit up ANDY CARROLL is hoping he will still be a Newcastle United player after the transfer window closes tonight after Liverpool lodged a late bid for the Geordie star. However, a £30million bid was today rejected by United from the Kop side as fans went into the final day of the window nervous about the future of Newcastle’s talisman. Carroll woke up to headlines that Liverpool had offered £30m for him as the Reds faced a fight to hold on to Fernando Torres, with Chelsea desperate to land the Spanish striker. But, just like Spurs’ offer of £25m, I understand this will be snubbed by Mike Ashley. Carroll was on Tyneside today and expecting to be back in training this week at the club’s Benton HQ. He received the all-clear from a Swedish specialist to resume a season that has seen him smash his way to the top end of the Premier League’s scorer’s chart. A source close to the player said to the Chronicle today: “He’s in Newcastle and he’s going to be at the training ground today. “That should tell you everything you need to know about whether he’s staying or going. “He’s tired of saying how much he wants to stay.” The player was preparing for a photo-shoot with Umbro in Newcastle today which pours cold water on talk that he was bound for Anfield – or anywhere else.
