Our forward line was piss poor with Shola up there and if Carrols playing regular we need something different beside him so its not predictable target man stuff ,Colo was abysmal tbh how he has played for the Argy national team is beyond me ,we could with a bit more threat have won that game and it was a relief to see them fight back for a change instead of capitulating like last season ,the football in this division will not be like yesterdays imho but more getting kicked up a height by the opposition cos of who we are and i noticed the ref yesterday didnt keep stopping the game like in the premiership for diving etc but more free flowing but i dont know if that was beer goggles .I wasnt impressed with Shearer slagging Carrol off for not passing the ball to Duffs left foot for that chance that he missed as i thought it was a good ball and duff should have hit the target tbh.

Though the lad did great some excellent reflex saves and a couple of dodgy flaps at crosses but he caught a few and got the ball moving quickly, a goalkeeping coach will iron out his weaker abilitys hopefully if we have one ,overall its too early to say if he be made first choice but from what ive seen of him i would play him ahead of Harper atm .Imho he looks a quicker ,a better shot stopper and Harper is too slow.

At every opportunity, Ashley has done the worst thing he could possibly do for the club. Whether that is down to incompetence or vindictiveness, I don't know. My faith in the human spirit makes me want to think it is just incompetence, but Christ, you really do have to ask yourself how anyone could thing that the situation now is in anyway protecting his investment (and I choose that criteria as it is the one thing which he should be worried about, even if he doesn't really give a s*** about the club beyond that). When you went down, I thought if you managed to keep hold of a nucleus of half decent players (for that level) and indulged in some sensible purchasing you'd come straight back on, you'd be a stick on for it. But looking at what has happened since, and looking at some of the other decent clubs in that division next season, I really do fear for you. The tragedy of it all is that - to an outside observer - it actually does look like it has happened by design, and not through circumstances.
