Here is my choice for the new bar

When a manager or player says "the players has been buzzing this week in training " FFS you have won a game after a 6 game losing streak and you will lose the next one .
-
I think so as we have won fuck all in 50 + yrs and i want to go to Wembley again but safety comes first any day of the week .

You really cannot see past your thigh challenge logic ,blk/wht but no inbetween
-
The challenge was on the thigh. If he had gone for the knee / ankle or the shin, I give you that he has a higher chance of a serious injury. I seriously can't imagine that planting his boot into the thigh can cause him to dislocate his hip or break his leg. May I suggest a basic knowledge of anatomy before you imagine the ridiculous? What i am saying is if his foot had been in contact with the pitch the resistance could make that challenge dangerous that is all and are you saying that challenge is ok by Scholes cos the ref clearly didnt think so . Where have I defended Scholes' tackle? Scholes' challenge was awful and the red card totally deserved. He has a higher chance of breaking his own foot than Zabaleta's thigh though, even if the latter happened to have his foot planted onto the pitch. We are talking about the thigh bone protected by a massive chunk of muscle. If contact was on the shin like Ben Arfa's, with virtually no protection then something might have broke. All im saying is the wrong sort of connection and angle etc could have been worse than he got off with regardless of the muscle on the thigh ,going round in circles now getting dizzy

How many career-ending thigh injuries have you seen? His boot went into one big block of muscle and not the bone. It's not even the hamstring ffs. Sorry didnt realise you were an expert on football injuries ,what if he dislocated his hip beyond repair or his foot was still on the grass so possibly smashing his leg to pieces or are you a Scholes apologist

Does £35 million buy you 3-4 players of Carroll's quality and pay the wages? This is why we have George Carr and we hope he pulls it off ,on a lighter note hope Carroll scores till the end of the season but his team loses so my P.L. fantasy football team can climb the table.

I know De Jong is a wanker of the highest order but Scholes challenge was absolutely horrendous and showed genuine malice when you see it from the different angles and in my opinion could have finished the guys career ,Ferdinand proved to everyone to be the prize prick we know he is at the final whistle , Manure show how to be gracious in defeat

Do you go to the match ?

Has had a week he will want to forget in a hurry with the mouthing off in the press doing him no favours after his performance on sunday,he really struggled with the captaincy imho due to the inept play from other players that effected his play in trying too hard and frustration crept in and reverted back to indisipline in his play and really missed Nolan .

I wish he would let's start a thread

At this level, Peter Beardsley and Les Ferdinand weren't cutting the mustard as you put it. Mick man, you know full well that the vast majority of top players showed quality at the age of 20. Perhaps not consistency, but real glimpses of their ability. Ranger hasn't I'm afraid. A couple of goals last year in a Championship winning side and nothing this season of note bar a few headless chicken appearances which to be fair, have ocassionally unsettled defences. Ian Wright turned professional 3 months short of his 22nd birthday so Ranger is still a pup

Dreadful sterile performance shows how shit our squad is
