I actually saw Nicky Butt give him a right telling off for that. After the 4th time of doing it Butt ran up to him and shouted "every fucking time". Good to see those little snippets of leadership come through.

I don't believe you..... well actually i do but who are we after?

Even if we bid a record fee it doesn't mean we'll get the player, Modric has proven that. I agree. Far to many times has money and talent been confused. Often you need to break the back for the best players but not always. -

What do you think of our 2 Argies and our performance against Man U? I know that's off topic but you seemed to have missed the threads where these were discussed. You see that's what does me. If Ne5 give as much imput to those topics as others he would be much more respected. do you think I respect your opinion or care what you think of what I post ? mackems.gif Yes, although you will pretend not, as usual. Laughable. -

well, as they had done it before, are you going to say they wouldn't have done it again ? Why not ? I don't think they would have. What about you? As lovejoy has pointed out, nobody is disputing that they had spent a lot of money. But at least they had a go, and succeeded too. Maybe they couldn't have done it again without investment. Thats the name of the game, but it doesn't mean that Ashley is doing it right. A lot of people are pretending they are happy with this summer, but they know within themselves that, unless something happens in the next 7 days, they are disappointed. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Keegan will do a good job with the tools he has, but if they don't back him it is an opportunity wasted and he won't get anywhere near what he did the last time. Easy comment to make though. What your effectively saying is that if we spend more money people will be happy. Which is obvious. "back him" is a bullshit phrase because people will have different opinions on what that means. -

Stepping outside the argument discussion for a second, the "I've been going longer than you so I know best" thing does you no favours at all mate. It was my fault, i started it and i should know better than to bite to such a stupid thing. -

That one doesn't get an answer, ever. broke the clubs transfer record for a defender a few months earlier ......... And 40m quid in the few years previously to go with it. Pretend that isn't true if it suits your opinion, as I'm sure you will. Saw a bargain to be had in a fire sale, and cashed in as quick as he could. Sicklee Sausage Roll ? You usually have more intelligence than to post like this. You don't have any so fuck off. ooohhhhhhh fuck off yourself. It wasn't an intelligent reply was it ? I didn't ask you a question, so don't reply with one. -

Ne5 is a cretin. The sort of bloke who deserves to be spat at if he enters our beloved stadium. I hope he fucks off from this place. -
Baffles me how much stick Geremi gets. He rarely ever gives the ball away, works very hard for the team and probably has a more consistent cross than any of our other players. His set pieces do let him down though. I'd prefer Geremi to Duff any day of the week. Gives alot more in almost every aspect, he even nearly scored yesterday.
-
So we will know more on wednesday. Hope this gets sorted like.
-
I actually think Malouda is quality. However, i don't really see the need for another winger albeit a better one than Milner and Duff. Maybe it's because he can play as a striker, well the same position Duff was meant to be playing yesterday. Anyhoo, it's all probably bollocks.
-
Absolutely. As i posted earlier Football 1-0 Anti Football
-
Saviola seems like a signing that will happen.
-
Hate to burst the bubble but i didn't look to me as if he was talking specifics. Just said it would be nice if, after two others, we could bring a wow player in.

Some people on here are not looking at the bigger picture. Bolton came to SJP to stifle us, play the long ball and pack their own half. Yet we managed to hold our nerve, stick to our style and get a win that we deserved. We won't have to this every game.

Was just about to post my views on the match but that completely sums up what I was going to say. Then your both talking shite "jonas far too good for us". If thats the way yous feel fuck off and support the mackems. You gave Given a 7 for saving a pen and keeping a clean sheet. Nice one. As for my Jonas comments, you know (or should know) fine well what I mean. He is a player who could comfortably play for a better side than ourselves. Happy now? Or because I don't think we're the best team in the country/continent/world mean I should fuck off? Get a grip lad. Ahem, first of all belittling by using words like "lad" won't work. I gave Given a 7 because despite (as you say) saving a penalty and keeping a clean sheet, his kicking was atrocious. Now there are no rules on how to rate players, so the system is faulted in itself but IMO you rate them for the good things and the negative things. Before the penalty i would have gave him a 6 and after a 7. Perhaps 8 at a push. Secondly, you comment was "far too good for us", which implies that he's too good for the club. Which in my assesment is super bollocks. However, what i now believe you mean is that he is our best player, which would be fair comment but like i said, that's simply not how i read it. I mean exactly it how I explained it. He could very comfortably play at a higher level (e.g. Champions League club/Good UEFA cup standard team) If we don't reach the higher level (get back into Europe, basically) and he continues to impress, a bigger club will no doubt come in for him. Whether he goes or not would be another discussion. But that's getting ahead of ourselves considering he's played 2 competitive games for us. To go back to your ratings, fair enough, Shay's distribution was horrible, but using your negatives/positives thing, you're giving him the same rating as Taylor, who conceded the penalty (there's a negative) and at one stage tripped on the ball under no pressure and had to haul his man down. Then there's the incident mentioned somewhere else where he had all the time in the world to take a touch and pass it out of defence but instead he chose to smash it out for a throw in. I'm not saying he was awful by any means, I'm just using him as a comparison for the Given rating. As for "belittling" words like lad, telling me to "fuck off and support the mackems" is what exactly? If i thought for a second that anyone of our fans believe any player was bigger than the club then i'd tell them to fuck off. However, i do realise that was not what you meant so i will apoligise.

Taylor, Guthrie and Milner seem to be the main talking points. Taylor- I actually thought Taylor was pretty good throughout. Not the standard of Coloccini but i don't think there were many cock-up's, if any. Haven't seen the replay of the pen but it looked similar to the dying swan. Overall, hardly a criminal performance, still unsure of his potential. Guthrie- The lad got overran today, no doubt but there were reasons. First, he started off terribly, gave the ball away, slipped over and clearly lost abit of confidence. As well as this, his chances of getting on the ball were halved by the fact Bolton bypassed the midfield (as usual). Similar to Taylor, hardly had a criminal performance but did very little to effect the game at either end. Milner- Is a funny one. On the one hand, sometimes the ball looks tied to his foot, never gives the ball away (which can't be underestimated) and works his socks off for the cause. On the other, he fannies about something cronic, he moves left and right more times than a slalom. Because of this, the moment passes and chance is made harder. Today we very much saw little bits of both. In the first half, on the right he was very poor but when he was played up front he looked twice the player and i thought did very well. I'd like to see him behind a striker a couple more times (only if forced).

Bolton were disgraceful yet again. Everytime they come up here i can't help feeling that we will perform better against the teams that actually try and play football. Diving, fouling, long ball scum. Well done lads, hard work and good ethics paid off in the end.

Given- 7 Kicking was poor but there when needed Beye-7 Did well, better in the second half Coloccini- 9 Dominated Taylor- 7 Did well Zoggy-7 Great attacking, suspect at the back Milner- 7 Was fantastic through the middle, not great on the right Butt- 7 Good long range passes Guthrie- 6 Out battled IMO Jonas- 8 Looked good Duff- 5 Shite Martins- 6 No service Geremi- 8 Changed the game Owen- 8 Got his goal Thoughts; Football 1-0 Anti football
