What does the fact they keep changing their strikers tell you?....................... that they are in poor form. Cole scored when he came on last weekend so i'd guess that he will partner Sears (who was one of their better players by all accounts). Either way, if Ashton doesn't start all the better for us, as he is their best striker (even if he is playing poorly). I don't find the prospect of defending against Cole, Sears, Ashton and Zamora that worrying. Especially, considering we've conceeded only two up against strikers such as Bent, Keane, Berbatov, Doyle, Defoe and Jones, who i'd consider better players. As for their defence, not many have managed to keep a clean sheet against our attack so i'd certainly expect us to score. But for me the biggest question mark is whether the midfield can be a touch more fluid against West Ham, than they have in the last few games. If they go out and dominate, we will win.

What annoys me more is that people point out Martins one on one misses more than Owens. In the period before Birmingham, Blackburn in particular, Owen missed every chance he got. Yet Martins misses one on Sunday, in a game we won, and gets loads of grief. The truth is, the goals per games ratio is the stat to look at. People aren't going to turn around at the end of the year and say "that torres has scored 30 in 40 games, but fuk me he missed a couple of sitters against chelsea". All striker miss chances, Torres, Owen and Martins.... it's the amount of goals they do score that should be debated.

As much as i don't want Riise, if KK bought him i would still trust him. Think about it, Riise's form may have dipped in the last year or so but he was a good left back not so long ago. It's not like he's 31 and over the hill. Not only that, i think his form has dipped due to Rafa's style, being restricted from going forward. KK would bring him in, give him confidence and a license to freely roam on the left when played, unlike Rafa. What i'm saying is there is some logic in getting Riise; he's experianced, fairly cheap, can play left midfield and does have ability (albeit not recently). With all that said, i'd prefer us to leave Enrique alone or look elsewhere for a left back.

The only time the young-uns should be brought into the first 11 is if we get an injury/knock/loss. There's a chance we could pick up an injury for our last 3 games so they may get their chance.
