  1. 3 Bulls at 9am Centurion at 10am Vaults at 10:30am Funny enough i was in the three bulls for the last derby (emres winner).
  2. I feel sorry for the guy who came up with "he walks his dog Keano". How pathetic must he feel now. I'm expecting the whole ground to get involved with that one on sunday.
  3. Drop deep and Viduka works the space. Push up and you can get caught out by Obas pace. Then you have Owen clinical finishing to deal with.
  4. We know what side Man Utd are going to turn out and we can't do much about that. Not alot of a game is decided by the suprise factor. Martins, Owen and Viduka are very hard to defend against.
  5. SS1 i believe mate. Coverage starts at 1.

    Are we?

How comes it's got blue on it. The propa one was black and grey. EDIT; This one was a couple of years ago. I'm talking about the one in the Bobby era, that we wore at Southampton away when we beat them 3-0. Thast the one, there is no blue on that kit bar the badge. the lighter bits are grey. Find a pic with a footballer wearing it.

  8. There different in many ways. No doubt that if you were asking who was the best Fergy would win but he walked into a job with money to spend. Wenger had to start from scratch.
  9. -Downing - Can't see Boro selling to us, and if they did, it would be £5m more than other teams. -SWP - Would love him here. Would flourish once again under Keegan and a good move for all concerned if it happened. -Crouch - Good player, right attitude. Questionnable finishing but would fit in well where Viduka currently plays in the 4-3-3. -Lennon - Very raw player. First instinct is a no. -Dunne - Can't see City parting with him. -Gilberto - Legs have gone. -Mcgeady - Haven't seen him play a lot to be honest. -Barnes - Decent potential, wouldn't be too far away from a first team place. Would wait and see if someone better becomes available. Everyone was sayingt hat Nicky Butt was finished and outr midfeild were rubbish, KK has turned it round I bet Gilberto would look fresh under KKs management. "Na man he's plays in the Brazil team because he's useless. There's no such thing as man management. Deco or noone for our midfield TBH!" Makes me laugh how short sighted people can be. For the record i'd prefer we went for a younger target but i do rate Gilberto.
  10. Aye saw that the other and was going to post it. "labrador lover's 11"

    Are we?

Na the black one i was reffering to was the one with northern rock on. The home one had NTL but was the year after that i believe.
  12. I'd be very suprised if he managed a club bigger than Liverpool anytime soon. No chnace of your Milans and Madrids taking him, he's not that good. Lets just forget his record for Valencia. Hardly done badly at Liverpool has he anyway? I believe the premierleague is a good test to see how good a manager is. La Liga seems to be won every year by a different manager, therefore it's hard to get a real view on which ones are good. For example i don't rate Rikkard that highley. Benitez has done well in the champions league and he is a great manager but the premie rleague is where it is at for Liverpool. He's had his chances and he still hasn't moved Liverpool forward (i.e a title challenge). I don't think he would get a job at Madrid etc because they would looking for a world class manager such as Mourihno. I'm not saying Benitez isn't great but he's no Mourinho, Wenger or Fergy which is the standard the top clubs should be looking for.

    Are we?

Don't mind the home one but it's not a patch on the Bobby era NTL one. That always reminds me of good times. I also like that Black away one we had. We played Leeds on the first day of the season IIRC.
  14. Wright Phillips and Tal Ben Haim. If Keegan had the ability to turn Sidwell into a DM i'd consider that too.
  15. KEANO..................................... HE WANKS HIS DOG KEANO! HE WANKS HIS DOG KEANO HE WANKS HIS DOG KEANO................ KEANO! Most definately up for this.
  16. Personally I have my doubts over Butt's ability as a winger. Clearly changed my original post.

    Are we?

no next year, unless northern rock deal collapses.
  18. Nicky Butt has had a very average season. There was a point where i would have put him in the same catagory as Smith for being our worst player. I went to a spate of games where he gave the ball away consistantly. He was terrible. However, since KK's arrival he's been brilliant. Always in the right place at the right time, making tackles and distributing the play with some success. This is no doubt down to the players infront of him and the system. Having two centre midfielders alongside him must be a great help. My question is what would we be like with a talented individual who could pass long and short range, make tackles and have a great engine? This position has to be one of the priorities and one i'm convinced KK will get right. Butt, hopefully, will move into the background.
  19. I don't see the problem personally. Both excellent keepers, Shays had a poor season that's all. No coincidence that it's happened in a season where he's been blighted by injury. However Harpers earned his place as our no1, if Shay wants it back then he can earn it. That's how football works. If not we have Forster and Krul waiting in the wings. No need to go out and splash on a new keeper, in fact thats the last thing i want to do.

    Emre

On another note if we got rid of him for 3 and replaced him directly with Barnes, that would be a neat bit of buisness.

    Emre

agree with all of that although £3m i'd still be tempted but then are we going to get anyone better in for that price as he will need replacing? With his injury record though is anyone going to be prepared to pay that sort of £££ for him. 3m is barely enough for agents fees these days. 5m could push through a deal for a top quality player and we almost couldn't turn that down for an injury prone player but 3m, no thanks. From what i'm lead to believe the turks revear him highley and have a reputation for paying for big name players such as Roberto Carlos, Appaih(sp) Anelka, Kezman and Kleberson etc. Emre will return to Turkey we all know that but when, where and how much is all to be decided. I actually think he will try and push through a move to his home land.
  22. Aye but for me he's "One for the future" anyway so i couldn't really give a shit whether he's in the side for the start of the season. I'd be aiming alot higher than that for the starting 11 and so will KK.

    Emre

I'm 50/50 split. A fit and in form Emre in our side is a HUGE assest especially in this formation. I remember an inter fan coming on here telling us that he was a 433 man when he joined and that he would not be used to playing in a 442. As well as this he said he always missed alot of games due to niggly injuries. Can you remember his first game against Arsenal away under Sourness? We played 451 that game, with essentially a 3 man midfield. He played a blinder and for me he is certainly the most gifted technically in the squad. But the bugger is just never fit and there's always murmers of a move back to Turkey. I have to say it all depends on the fee. If fener want to pay 5m to bring their hero back to Turkey then we should look to offload. However, if teams are sniffing around to pick him up for 2 or 3m then it's simply not worth it IMO. For the talent he has and the potential (ability wise) to be a good player for us i'd keep a hold of him, he's the type of squad player that i like.
  24. SWP needs confidence and an attacking system, SJP under KK would be the perfect environment. Not sure whether he's swap london for Newcastle. Spurs might be a more likely destination but it's all set up for him. He's exactly the type of player Keegan will be targetting.
  25. Madness TBH. Villas first season under O'Neill, was simliar, started off well then drifted toward the end of the season. Next season under Sven i reckon they would automatically be in UEFA positions, especially considering they will be ambitious in the summer (Ronaldinho etc), i just don't get it. My view is that Shinawatra seems to be aiming much higher. I think he's trying to do a Chelsea, doomed to end in failure.
