    Tosin Adarabioyo

I agree that we need to have our weaker areas strengthened. However, I think it's a better strategy to sign quality players and push current players down the pecking order, than to sign what some refer to as "squad fillers". Tosin makes entire sense because not only is he a quality player but he's also a decent deal for us to do. Loyd Kelly would be similar. What we need to be careful of, is losing value on players as soon as they come through the door. Even if Tosin (for example) doesn't work out, we'd likely recoup any signing on fee/agent fee from a future sale. The other strategy is to buy quality young players, like Hall and Livramento who will initially come in as bench players with the opportunity to take their place in the starting 11.
  2. As much as I think this will be tough, we are in danger of talking them up a little too much.
  3. That's fine. He can book Bruno, as long as he doesn't send him off.
  4. To have Miggy, Joelinton, Wilson and Barnes on the bench entirely changes the complexion of our game. If its a narrow scoreline in the second half, we should finish strong.
  5. This will be a high press job for Eddie. Burnley try to play out from the back and I'd be looking to catch them out in that area. As much as I get the counter attacking idea, you can't sit back against Burnley, it sends entirely the wrong message. In an ideal world I'd have Miggy, Joelinton and Pope straight into the starting 11.... Eddie won't, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pope start though.
  6. Micky Van De Slip not having a great game.
  7. The problem is us beating Burnley.
  8. I also don't think Kane would have made that much of a difference. There issues aren't really at that end of the pitch. Their midfield seems super soft too me and they lack options in wide areas.
  9. I think this is where league position and direction are two different things. Spurs 5th and looking weak under Ange compared to Chelsea who are 8th and getting stronger by the game or even your Villa who are only one position above Spurs but look lightyears ahead in overall play. Spurs had a really good start and play nice stuff but are soft as fuck and it's built on the sand of Daniel Levy upstairs. Not sure what this post has to do with Harry Kane mind.
  10. Was a gleeful transition from turgid, boring, pragmatic Conte era football, which made the players sick of their life, to a relaxed, free flowing, shackles off type under Ange. Now things have chilled, Spurs have lost their step, gaps have opened and people have worked out they aren't as good as what people thought. One look at Ange on the touchline tells you what you need to know.
  11. Chelsea will be good next year.
  12. Jesus. I mean, I don't want it to be a goal but fuck off man. Was a goal all day.
  13. Didn't realise it was at the Bridge. Spurs have no chance. They've fallen off a cliff. They will get pumped.
  14. Potter would be a fair choice. Ticks the young, mild mannered, English mould. He's basically Southgate but knows a bit more. From Howe's point of view and indeed any ambitious managers worth their salt, your national side can wait. If they want him now, they will still likely want him after he's won the league with us..... and while you might chuckle at that, Howe certainly believes he's going to succeed. Its a bit different if you are currently out of work or working at a lower level. You don't leave a top club job for a national team.

    Sandro Tonali

Hes going to be fucking class next season.
  16. Ship has sailed on selling Trippier. He won't be going anywhere.
  17. This was going to be my question.
  18. Obviously it's seems daft that we might want to loan him out given the injury crisis we've been through this year. However, the other argument is that almost certainly won't get much game time next season, therefore a good loan would give him more valuable experience. I've said before, if Burnley got relegated, he'd be perfect in Kompanys Championship side. At the very minimum it would have to be a title pushing championship side, but I think someone like Ipswich would be tempted by him. He's already shown that he's capable at this level.

Joelinton I reckon is on more than 120. Gordon seems low but we will soon find out if he's given a new deal.

Not sure any of this looks accurate to me.

And yes, I'd forgotten all about Jamal Lewis.

If Targett is on such wages, you've got to pretty much reflect that in your transfer value. As I've said before, if you are Leicester, Ipswich, Everton, Wolves, Fulham, Palace or Forest, you'd take Targett on those wages at a reduced price of say 6m. He's a proper PL left back. In fact, he's a good one... if you can keep him fit. 100k + 6m isn't a huge outlay for a PL left back, I'm sure some of those clubs already have players on more than that. Where as for us, that sort of return is fairly substantial, in terms of what we can turn it into.
  24. Making ETH look shitter by the minute.
