the fans at all those clubs (with the exception of man utd maybe) will tell you there clubs improved in the first 6 months. being patient pays off...should we have given souness,roeder,bill mcgarry longer ? Exactly all those clubs could see improvement, so far we have been terrible with no sign of improvement. FFS our fans aint moaning for the sake of it or because their standards are sky high its because the football has been dog shit and tbh our league standing doesnt reflect how bad we have played, we have had a bit of luck

Im amazed at some peoples blind faith in SA, im all for sticking with a manager but he has to prove he is worth sticking with imo, having a long term plan is important but that doesnt mean you should forget about the present. We have been fucking horrendous this season and that comes down to 1 man.

Hiddink will be available after the euro's i think, Didnt he sign a 2 year contract in 2006? SA even thou he has been pretty poor should get at least a season so if Ashley is thinking about getting rid of him we should wait til the Euro's are over and then see which top managers leave their international jobs.

Even I am starting to worry for him.. I have backed him thus far, but I am starting to think Sam can't change. I hope, for his sake, he takes a look in the mirror, fucks off all this statistics bullshit and plays the way we need to so the opposition will have to nullify us. Sacking, more change is still a bad idea but Sam continues to shoot himself in the foot. I think a lot of people on here backed sam and many still do back him but week by week its getting harder and harder to see him lasting long in the job, why SA insists on playing players out of position and in a formation which doesnt suit our players is very worrying.

He said there is no team we should expect a result against. IMO we should be expecting to beat the relegation candidates even if we are a mid table team. Having 1 shot on target in 90 mins against Wigan is fucking unacceptable.

We shouldnt be going to places like Derby and playing for a 0-0 draw.

SA blaming the players isnt a good sign, This is definately the beginning of the end for sam. With our next 3 games being hard games i can see SA gone before Jan is out.

I dont believe that, All the fans want is a manager who seems to have a clue. If we got a foreign manager who got us playing decent football and is taking us in the right direction there wouldnt be a problem, There wouldnt be a problem with SA if there had been clear improvement from the past 2 managers but in truth SA has been just as poor as them.

May aswell keep SA till atleast the summer, Wait till the Euro's are over because 1 or 2 managers might become available.

When we got SA i was happy because i honestly thought he was the man we needed, i thought he would: Turn us into a solid unit which is very hard to break down Get the fitness of our players up Sort out the injury list with his scientific approach Get us defending properly Set-plays would be decent The shape of the team would be good Tactics would be good So far im baffled by what SA has brought, We have no shape what so ever and there are no signs of tactics. We are utter shit at defending and poor in front of goal which is very scary, im just thankful the league has many poor teams. Set plays have been terrible with no sign of improvement. His team selection at times have been bizarre. Our league position flatters us atm, I wasnt expecting us to be playing champagne and i was kinda expecting us to be playing poor football at times but that would of been acceptable if we were showing clear signs of progression a bit like MON at Villa last season, Losing 1-0 to a Wigan side which hadn't kept a clean sheet in 15 games and was 2nd from bottom isn't acceptable and to add salt to injury we had 1 single shot on target. Im not suggesting we sack SA now but if performances carry on as they have i can see SA picking up his P45.
