Just been reading the Chronicle online, went on there forum and someone has started a thread saying Chelsea are eyeing up Ranger!!!
-
I think one of the biggest criticisms so far is that the spokesmen appear to be giving their own views rather than those of the members as a whole. It's OK getting to have your say, so long as people listen. yes good point and i wouldn't disagree, i joined when it formed but have been disappointed with lack of info and contact, despite having my contact details i've heard nothing about what they are doing, think there's only been one meeting although think the committee meet up on a more regular basis.
-
Seeing that Tom has come on here and given everyone plenty of notice of the meeting on the 4th will the people on here who complain and moan about NUSC gonna make an appearance and tell the NUSC what the think they should do instead or better or just wait and continue to sit on their arses and criticise?

gutted for the lad, he was brilliant last night as well, best player on the pitch by a mile and suffered the injury making a match winning block.
-
Which lads look like they could step up PL level? It was a scruffy affair spoilt by one of the worst refs i've ever seen, the usual ones really Kadar and Kazenga. Forster played well, made a couple of good saves. Nile only really had the one chance and thumped home a header from a corner. I thought James Taylor played well at right back and Henderson, the young centre half was good, best i've seen him play. Regarding the step up it would be the ones you already know of, Ranger, Kadar and Lualua. The right winger for them, think he's called Henderson looked a good player as well.

very bad news, he was excellent on the night and is so close to being in the first team in the coming weeks. i'm gutted for the lad.

dont worry, its all part of the "1 injury a game" curse [/qu just got back and looks like a really bad broken leg, took 10 minutes to treat on the pitch.

How's Zokora a naff example? Mbia has pace and power so can join when needed, Makalele never could. i've just watch him labour around the pitch against Lille, he didn't look to be blessed with too much pace, he looked like he would struggle to beat Geremi in a race! not a dig at you binnsy but the general feel of m'bia.....before the game he was too good for us and the idea we were only bidding £5mill made us look stupid....now he's s*** based on one game. the football chat section is a loon. Madras i agree, going on his repuatation and knowning he's been chased by a few clubs makes you think he must be pretty decent and i don't like to judge a player on one game but i wouldn't like to be in JFK's shoes having to decide to up the bid on his performance tonight, he looked laboured, maybe he was carrying an injury but from what i'd heard about the lad i was expecting to see a essien/vieira and was disappointed as he just seemed to sit in front of the back 4. he did spread a couple of decent passes around early on but never got into the game and was subbed after 80 mins. The Lille holding player, Mavuba, looked a better player in that role and altho BUtt is crap i think its an attacking creative that we need more than a defensive one. -

Just watched the game and although its hard to judge a player on one game, he was poor today, didn't look like a Patrick Vieira type midfielder which i'd heard people describe him as. Think we may be gambling paying £5m, i'll be questioning JFK's sanity even more than i already am if he pays around £10m. The Lille defender Rami who was also linked looked ok but wouldn't say he was any better than Colo, Bassong and Taylor.

may well have already been mentioned but according to the Sunday Sun JFk has flown out to France today to run the rule ove Mbia and Lille defender Rami when Rennes play Lille tonight. For anyone wanting to check them out for themselves the match is live on Setanta at 8pm. -
Just got back from one of the worst and depressing way games i've ever been too, a nightmare from start to finish. if we stay up it will be a miracle but sadly even if we do survive we are still screwed. We are probably 5 or 6 players short of having a full squad to cope in the PL and we are on the verge of losing Owen, Given, Viduka, Charlie, Butt, Harper, Geremi, Oba, Cacapa plus the likes of reserve players like Donaldson, Donninger edgar and a few others. How much will it cost us to replace that lot and add the 5 players we are short of in the summer???
-
I'm gonna go aswell. Nowt else happening on Sunday afternoon. i wouldn't go to Darsley park mate the match is at little benton not the training ground.
-
Yes he's decent but the aussie kid in midfield brad Inman looks a better player, he's impressed me the few times i've seen him, more of a playmaker whereas McCrudden is a goal scorer.
-
He's the player who will save NUFC from oblivion!!
-
just missed from 6 yards with the goal gaping!!!
-
Could never work that out for a world class striker he has the shot power of a choir boy all that matters is that the ball goes over the line, you don't get a bonus for bursting the net!
-
Godsmark is nowhere near as good as Alan O'Brien.
-
that haircut must be for a bet surely!!

they've got sources and contacts who work inside the club that are better than most of the journalists covering NUFC. -

defoe was playing for Pompey last season though, so surely it'll be different. -
from what i know Charlie doesn't speak to the press but the only time he has done and been properly quoted was in the chronicle earlier this season when he said he was HAPPY, seeing as since then he's been playing regularly i can't see him being unhappy now.
-
why are people getting worked up over this, now to be fair i haven't read the latest article but from listening to what a few lads have been sayingat work, it seems like they stories have come over again from France and they are using the same quotes that have been rehashed over the last 3 or even 4 transfer windows. Don't think there's any truth in it to be honest and wouldn't be at all suprised to see some sort of denial by the end of the day. 22 pages reacting to total gossip is a joke to be honest! (probably be away after the weekend now i said that!)
-
both will have left by the start of next season.
-
yes definately would sign him, i wanted us to buy him when he left Tranmere, would've been a bargain for£1m, may even be a even better player as he suffered a horrendous broken leg playing against our reserves a few seasons back.
