the chronicle have said 8000 nufc fans are going, looking at the tv pictures there's barely 800 fans in the whole ground!!

What happend? Chopra caught someone late, unlucky to see red really as ref hadn't even produced a yellow all night and there was only about 10 men, Keane wasn't too impressed and the ref sent him to the stands for arguing. They've then went and scored 2 late goals to beat sporting lisbon 3-1.

chopra and roy keane have both just been sent off for the mackems!!!!lol

Wish this wasn't from the Sun as now highly unlikely although did notice that the journalist in question isn't the ace toon bullsh!tter Steve Brenner, if he'd wrote it we know it was bollocks.....if by any chance it is true i hope they make it a double swoop and bring his best mate van der vaart to keep him company.

did lua lua have a plastic protective boot on like what you wear when you break your foot? he was too far away when my old man pointed it out. could do without him being injured.
-
Seen this lad play a couple of times for liverpools reserves against Nufc, at the back end of last season in the reserve game at SJP he was brilliant, best player on the pitch by a country mile in front of the watching Kevin Keegan.

no one impressed in the newcastle side, looked like most of them were still on their holidays!!! When Donaldson put us 1 up after about 90 seconds i turned to my old man and said we'll see a few goals tonight, i wasn't expecting a 6-2 defeat tho!!!

Any off this list would do me Mohamed Zidan Erin Derdiyok Eidur Gudjohnsson Carlos Ceullar Dorin Goian Aaron Hughes, get him for decent price and can cover both fullbacks. None of them would break the bank, so hopefully the big money is still there to bring the creative midfield star that we are crying out for, the Aimar, Arshavin, Van der Vaart type, of course finding and attracting him to our madhouse underachieving football club is the tricky bit!
-
Can't see the lad making it tbh, hope i'm wrong but from what i've seen he's lightweight and not as good as Kazenga or Wesley Baheng who play in similar positions. Also as has been mentioned the lad has been a bit unlucky with injury while he's been here. Like a lot of the youngsters at the club this upcoming season is a biggie and make or break.

The independant Newcastle Supporters Association has been defunct for years, think it was originally set up with the save our seats campaign but has no relevance now. I knew the Sun's story today would be saying Oba is going to Arsenal, we just need to prepare ourselves on Monday now for a story of a clash with Keegan and Wise. They've only got 3 so called stories on us so than one must be due again!! twats.

If the latest rumours are to be believed Adebayor is off to Barca and want either Arshvin or Martins as his replacement...Would you sacrifice Oba if it meant gettin Arshavin. Personally i'd cash in on Oba, providing we have AA tied up and also bring in Gudjohnsson from Barca...Them 2 playing with Owen would be tremendous.

i really hope that the dutch now rest their main players and roll over against Romania, even though they've been great in the 1st two games i think they'll come to regret not knocking out the 2 teams, even letting Romania win the game they're still guaranteed top spot. Just got a feeling that if they beat romania and whoever wins the France Italy game will sneak thru and beat the Dutch in the semi final!!!

i know, i'm not suprised the papers print so much crap when they know it sends everyone into a state of panic!!!

Im not worried about what is going on, can't see where the so called problems with KK have come from. We all know from when Keegan was last manager that if KK thought he was getting lied to or messed around he have walked by now!! He specifically asked to meet Ashley before he took the job and has since had the meeting at the end of the season, which despite the media circus that it created for the aparent showdown talks, bearing in mind it involved the owner, chairman, deputy chairman, manager, Technical director, chief scout etc was mainly a big board meeting to review the season and plan for the upcoming season, imo. I think the current situation is quite funny cos the media haven't got a clue what is going on, they've had years of fat fred spouting sh!te and giving constant titbits ot but now NUFC is a closed shop. Its the same with the money situation, we have money to spend but only fools will tell the world and his wife how much they have. We've already put in a bid for Modric which would have broke our transfer record and we weren't going to be planning to go into next season with 1 new signing! Again why the fuss that KK won't go to Euro 2008, why does he need to, all the games will be televised and he'll have the likes of Wise and Vetere there anyway. The one concern i do have is that KK won't be there doing the signings, thats his big strength and a top player having a 15 min face to face chat with Keegan could be the difference in us signing a player or not. Its now just over a year since the Ashley takeover and the club has made huge strides, as someone who watches 1st team, reserves and occasional academy games the whole club from top to bottom was a complete and utter shambles and on the verge of financial meltdown which would've been worse than Leeds. At least they had a team full of top young players to sell to keep them afloat, we would've sunk. Leeds got millions from the sale of Ferdinand, Woodgate, Keane, Robinson, Smith etc. Ashley & Mort have delivered on things they've said inside a year, the same things were promised by Hall & Shepherd over 15 yrs ago and we were still waiting whn they left the club. Everybody just needs to chill out and relax and IGNORE EVERYTHING YOU READ in the papers, when we sign someone he'll be standing at SJP holding up the shirt, shaking KK's hand with a cheesy grin, if somthing happens at the club, new chairman, manager, tea lady, whatever, the club will announce it. Like i said the press boys are now out the loop, both the locals and nationals, the likes of Anal haven't got a hotline to the chairmans office anymore. They still need a story though for their papers though but like you and me they don't know what is happening! Thats a good thing.

Yesterday when i heard he'd been sent down i thought get rid, then when we were talking about it at work, thinking he'll probably serve 6-8 wks and be back for pre season decided i wouldn't be too bothered whether we kept him or not. Then when i got up this morning and read the not wholly unexpected press reaction, thought sod it, what right does scum newspapers like The Sun have the right to take the moral high ground and DEMAND nufc boot him out and out of football for good! Now wanting to keep him just to piss them off. Christ they've even started a petition to kick him out of football!!! Sod all the good role model shite, i'd gladly have a NUFC team full of rapists, murderers and nasty bastards if they win football matches and managed to win silverwear!!

No way man, he did what he could. It was a split second thing. Fantastic block. if he swung with his right foot he'd have scored.
-
Giggs should've burst the net instead of hitting Terry, shocking miss more than a good block!
-
Spurs are definately higher on my hate list than the smoggies, they're a nothing club, although got to admit the smoggies are climbing up that league from listening to the legends and having to hear the shite coming from Slaven and their fans!!!

He has the potential to be a very good player, the one worry i have is that i've watched him for the last 4 seasons now and don't know what his best position is!! In fairness though that is proabably down to the reserve coach playing him in a different position every week, near the end of the season the reserves were playing a sort of 4141 formation and he would be in about 4 different positions in 1 half!! Carroll would be up front, Donninger would sit as the holding player and the likes of Kaz, Troisi, Godsmark and Baheng would interchange positions in support of the striker. The formation worked quite well as the results in the latter part of the season showed but personally speaking i think it would be a better benefit to our young players to have a recognised position and play it week in week out. Also probably help their development if they went back to playing in their age groups than "fast tracked" into the reserve team. While no doubting the talent of the likes of Lualua and others such as Godsmark, Donaldson, they aren't the biggest all still on the small side and been in the reserve team for 3 seasons. They were in the reserve team when their position in the club pecking order was under 16, this pattern continues with virtually all the reserve squad of the last 2 seasons, all should be in the under 18 academy side but playing in reserve team, under 18's team then has half the team with players who should be playing under 16. The lack of talent coming thru proves that this policy hasn't worked. We've only had one or two break into the 1st team squad each season in the last 3, Edgar, Huntington was from the year younger and this season Carroll and Kazenga although Lua is 2 yrs younger(going off youth cup availibility, Carroll was too old this season, kaz can still play next season) I really do hope he kicks on and fulfils his potential as could be a great Newcastle player, could find his best position playing behind the striker, sort of Beardsley type roll, thats where i'd like to see him play next year in the reserves as oftens gets wasted out wide as doesn't see enough of the ball. Also still scored one of the best goals i've seen a NUFC player score when he scored away at Swindon in the youth cup a few years back, think you maybe able to find it on youtube or the FA's website, he picks the ball up in his own half on the right, turns, skips past about 3 challenges and then as he's cutting in unleashes a screamer from 35 yards straight into the top corner!! well worth a watch if you can find it.
-
i'd leave Butt out, no point risking him as a booking would see him miss the first 3 games of next season, would also give Carrol a start with Viduka out. Wouldn't want throw all the kids in as want to win and stop them getting into Europe, just to see Moyes face after missing out when about 6 games ago they thought they'd pip liverpool for 4th!! I'd line up with the following side HARPER BEYE FAYE TAYLOR ENRIQUE MILNER GEREMI N'ZOGBIA OWEN CARROLL MARTINS only other possible change would be edgar at the back and Faye in the holding role

Feel that top 8 is perfectly realistic, league is now split into 3 for the next few seasons, the top 4, the teams from Everton to NUFC and then the rest plus the teams coming up from the championship. I don't think there is much between any of the teams from 5th to 12th and all the teams are capable of beating each other, we've been dreadful this season and are heading for our lowest points total but have taken 6 pts off Spurs, 4 of West Ham, at least 3 off Everton, 0 off Blackburn despite being the better team in both games, took some pastings off Villa, Pompey and Man City despite historically having decent records against those sides. If you checked any of those sides you'll see that they've all taken points off each other. We also don't know what'll happen to those teams next season, Everton are pretty skint and need money for new stadium so doubt Moyes will be getting a war chest of £20-30m, Villa may have money to spend but could lose their best player, Barry, to Liverpool and if the big 4 come sniffing at the likes of Young and Agbonlahor they'll be gone as well. Blackburn have done excellent under Hughes but again won't have a huge amount to spend and may also find their best player heading to Anfield if the rumours about Bentley are true. Spurs are one team likely to splash the cash and expect plenty of changes at WHL but if Ramos brings a load of players from abroad how quickly will they settle in and adapt? God knows what'll happen to Man City, they look on the verge of imploding with the carry on with Sven and if he goes and it followed by a exodus of players like Dunne, Richards, Petrov, Elano etc. If Pompey win the cup have they a squad big/strong enough to cope with Europe? Will they keep players like Muntari and Krancjar? West Ham may improve as they have been crippled with injuries and will have the likes of Dyer and Bellamy back next season. Then we come to NUFC, obviously we need to get Owen and Oba tied down but can wave goodbye to Carr, Shola, Ramage, Rozenhal hopefully joined by Smith, Emre, Duff and cacapa. They've all been poor but we are getting £4m for Shola, probably get our money back on Roz and just on reputation alone Smith, Emre and Duff could fetch transfer fees around the £5m mark. That'll be around £20m to add to the kitty that KK gets. With decent investment and the right players brought in we have every reason to be optimistic about getting further up the league and getting in the mix for a UEFA spot.

Has gone backwards this season, looked a better player 2 years ago!! Bit like Matty Pattison, once he got on the verge of the 1st team went to pot...Can't see him ever making it as a premiership player and even doubt he would cut it in the championship. He's got good quick feet but doesn't produce anything and can't pass the ball, which is a bit of a problem when you're a midfielder!!

Wish we we playing chelsea on saturday now, they'll be grateful for the 2 extra days to recover....
