  1. Can't see the problem, he has gone back home to recover from his injury, with NUFC's blessing as all he can do is rest and wait for his injury to heal and he has went to support his boyhood football team. I am sure West Ham fans wouldn't kick off if Andy Carroll went to SJP to watch us play.
  2. where is that flying from and how much were the flights?
  3. the Thomas Cook trip going on Wednesday coming back Thursday is now sold out. they have put another trip on leaving Thursday coming back Friday for £379. £30 more!
  4. How come our injured players miss our games but end up playing in the internationals?? doesn't seem to happen to other clubs.
  5. Have kick off times been confirmed for both legs yet? are UEFA still having one kick off at 6pm and the other at 8pm? also anybody heard of any other trips organised apart from the Clubs 1 night stay for £329 plus ticket. me and a couple of mates were hoping club or someone would be doing a day trip, we done it to Basle a few years ago and it was decent, left Newcastle first thing, got to Basle about half 10 and had the day to do what you wanted (drink) and then match. One of the lads who works at the airport was today checking out possibility of seeing if we could charter a plane and go ourselves, will find out tomorrow if its possible and what the cost is, reckoned it would be about £20k for 180 seater plane. :-D

    Hatem Ben Arfa

They'll never get that lot with the £20m transfer kitty which the papers were saying Rodgers is getting in the summer.
  7. that was what Ryan Taylor called it on twitter as well
  8. i would be tempted to recall both him and Sammy while we are still in the Europa league.
  9. That settles it. Bindipping little f***ing prick. That needs to get plastered over Twitter. that tweet is from weeks ago about a totally different incident.
  10. While Halsey has been getting all the stick after watching on MOTD it has to be said he has been severely let down by his two linesmen, one had a clear view of the challenge on Haidara and the handball was on the linesmans side as well while Halsey was at the back post although both should have seen it as you can see all the players did.
  11. If Sissoko ends up playing in both the French games, which i am guessing is likely i would rest him for this trip so he is fresher for the two Benfica games, Fulham and the derby.
  12. Aren't City expecting Kompany and Aguero back for this, would just be our luck.
  13. i am one of his biggest fans and he would always get in my team but thought he was terrible today and think it was only the early injuries to the fullbacks which meant he didn't get subbed.
  14. west ham lost 2-0 and we lost by 1 goal, we went above on goals scored.
  15. Nightmare of an afternoon. Debuchy going off was huge and conceding so quickly after making the changes but us on the back foot after a pretty bright start. Haidara's injury is a real sickener, a shocking challenge compounded by the ref not even awarding a freekick. Thought we got better in the 2nd half and once Pardew brought Shola on and made the tactical switch of going 3 at the back thought once we equalised it only looked like there'd be one winner, NUFC. In saying that thought Sissoko had a poor game by the high standards he has shown so far and Tiote had a shocker of a game. The ending of the game was a real killer though, the ref misses a corner for us, they go up the pitch get a corner and then miss the handball leading up to the goal. Halsey was pathetic all game obviously missing the challenge on Haidara and the handball will get the headlines but also i was amazed he didn't send Perch off, already booked for a kick on Kone, how he then didn't award a 2nd yellow when he slid in on the edge of the area to give a free kick was again shocking refereeing, it was a stone wall yellow. On the plus side, despite the defeat we climbed 1 place up the table and that doesn't happen very often.
  16. If the injury keeps him out of the Wigan game we need to have him pulled out the International games too, i could easily see a scenario where he still gets called up, misses the Georgia game(think thats who they play) and then plays in the crunch game against Spain. wouldn't mind Sissoko tweaking a calf which sidelines him for a week tomorrow aswell. With the Europa league games in the last few weeks and the big league game we could have done with this international break to give the players some well needed R&R ready to kick on with the big games coming up.
  17. No its not, i wouldn't complain about an away point. It could possibly be a disappointing result but if a draw is a fucking shit result what will a defeat be?
  18. didn't think the clubs trip would be that much,329 quid plus cost of match ticket, was hoping/thinking of similar to brugge.
  19. do the games now all kick off at 7.45-20.00 or do will we still have either the home or away game kicking off at 6pm
  20. Never seen a match ever end like that though. It took a while to register that the players had stopped celebrating the goal and were celebrating the win, thought the ref would have at least restarted the game and then blew up for full time.
  21. this may well have already been answered but are they drawing the quarters and semi tomorrow or just the quarter final? Also while we play Fulham and Sunderland around the quarter final, Spurs who will still be prioritising getting in top 4 have Everton at home before going away to Chelsea! it might not be a bad time to play Spurs in Europe. Chelsea have a home game against the mackems before playing Spurs.
  22. You normally never get two performances the same from Wigan so lets hope this week they play like they did against Liverpool rather than the one that played Everton off the park last week. Think after his 2 cameos i would give Campbell his full debut. ELLIOTT DEBUCHY SAYLOR MYM SANTON TIOTE JONAS CAMPBELL SISSOKO GOUFFRAN CISSE Wigan play with a high line and push up, the pace of AC, Sissoko and Gouffran can exploit that. Won't happen though as Marveaux will probably play instead.
  23. He was not awful, few dodgy moments but was pretty solid and was really trying to drive us on in the 2nd half.
  24. its got to be a worry he stretched and slid in to stop them breaking away and looked to have stretched his groin/stomach area and that was where his last injury was when he had the op. In a way a 2 week lay off may not be bad if it means we can also pull him out of the 2 internationals, nothing too bad but a nice rest and be ready for Man City and then the quarters.
