to be honest i reckon we wouldn't have had much more if we had brought Brighton back for a replay this week.

Pardew going would probably speed up hatems departure, every interview he ever gives he always compliments and says how good the manager is. His relationship with Pardew is probably the best he's had with any manager/coach he has worked with.

Well that was a truly awful game of football but after the recent games and the goals we have conceded an away point and a clean sheet isn't too bad. However that point won't mean much if we don't build on it with 3 points next week against Reading.

That is the weird thing about Redknapp and football these days, he has met him and Remy has turned them down but they have decided to go back with a "lucrative offer". Tooj and OCk are right the reserves do play good football, possibly too much football at times as they are encouraged to play and don't resort to hoofing it upfield but can then give it away in dangerous positions. Unfortunately they haven't had good results but you certainly get entertaining games. Biggest problem though is they have been decimated with injuries especially at the back. Numerous times this season i have watched them and they have had to play the likes of Newton at centre half due to no one else being available due to injuries, loans or people in first team squad. The likes of Satka look really promising but his age group should really be U18's this season not the U21 and a few years at that age can be massive difference physically.

Richard Dunne is woeful, worse than Williamson. Not that there's any truth in it like. Nonsense. Better in every way. He's not like, he's been on a swift decline for the past 3 or 4 seasons. Wife's dad is a Villa fan and said he has been absolutely woeful, and at fault for so many of their goals conceded (especially last season). Williamson has very poor distribution but he's decent in the air and a decent backup, although clearly shot of confidence. Or just a Championship player to start with whose main weaknesses are getting worse with age while being targeted by opposing managers. Managers must love reviewing our weaknesses at the moment. Pretty much the same ones for a number of years now. If you were an opposition manager youwould attack us on Santon and Colo's side. Get us on the counter attack by getting behind Santon when he has gone forward and that sucks Colo over to cover which leaves Williamson left alone in the middle.

Was the one player i didn't expect to be playing against Brighton, has looked shattered over xmas and should have been rested for the cup game, could easily have given Dummett a full debut or played fergie.

After looking to have improved in the last couple of weeks he was back to his useless gutless self today, shocking performance.

The likes of Sammy, Tav and Abeid are seeing there development damaged by the owners inability to give the manager and fans a squad big enough and strong to compete in all the competitions we have entered for the 4th season running. I will let him off for the season we were in the championship as the be all and end of of that season was to get back in the premiership and we didn't really need the distraction of the cups, same with the first season back in the premier league, staying up was the priority. This season though on the back of a great season we failed to build on it and by not investing and giving us a squad strong enough to compete in both domestic and european football and as a result instead of giving the likes of Sammy a season on loan learning his trade he is getting thrown into a struggling team lacking in confidence and expected to be one of the big players with the responsibilty of creating and scoring the goals.

Whether he was shite or not today doesn't disguise the fact that he has been sent off for two of the most harshest yellow cards i have ever seen. The first one was a disgrace bearing in mind the ref had his back to the play and didn't see it and has just seen the Brighton player on the deck and pulled out a yellow card and the 2nd is never a booking its just a foul and get on with the game, although bearing in mind he was on a yellow he should not have went in to make the challenge anyway.

its probably how much the selling club will get should we win the league/he plays 100 games/becomes an international etc
