Would rest Colo, santon, marveaux and anita and pick the best team with what we have left. Would also give serious consideration to giving Campbell a game.

i know that is what happens in European games as HBA was suspended for our first european game after an offence for Marseille but league game don't. When he was on 4 yellows before xmas and looked to have picked up a knock the lad next to me at the game was saying he should just dive in on someone or handball it to pick up his ban while sitting out the next game injured anyway.
-
yeah you can't carry over a suspension for 6 six weeks. you get banned for the teams next 1 or 3 games.
-
He joins up with the Ivory Coast after the game so if he does get a red card he will be missing anyway when he is suspended so wouldn't impact the squad.
-
yeah i agree about that, a team coming in late with a bid could really screw us over.

everyone is getting far too worked up. We have known for a year now that Ba has a release clause and while its down as £7.5m with add ons and wages etc the true cost is much higher and he has the knee problem. By the look of it his agents or people saying they are his agents have been hawking him around Europe for months but now the window is about to open there is the chance some club might activate the clause. In the mean time he is playing really well for us and scoring goals so while he is still a NUFC player it would be stupid to leave him out the team for what so far is what "skysports news sources" have said. No clubs have made contact with NUFC yet. If we get to a situation where Hamady Ba is found to be in discussions with a club then something might be about to happen but my personal opinion hasn't changed and i think Ba will still be here at the end of the window. Liverpool aren't interested, Arsenal have said they aren't and now Chelsea have apparently said no. If the wage demands been bandied around are true then that doesn't leave many more teams who could afford him.
-
eh nothing has changed since the summer, his agents have been whoring all over Europe but he's still performing and scoring on the pitch. If he's still a NUFC player then play him.
-
Has Remy been injured this season or out of favour? wiki(obviously take with pinch of salt) says only played 8 times for Marseille. i have heard he is injury prone and had heart defect in the past.
-
Not sure how much he would cost but wouldn't mind us bringing in a pacy, tricky forward like Dries Mertens from PSV, plus Belgian players seem all the rage at the minute and we don't have one!!
-
wouldn't want to lose Tiote, may not be on top form at present but still worth keeping but think i would prefer Sissoko coming in instead of M'Villa.
-
Hope not. yeah that would be a stupid move on our part after getting him back fit after his injury problems and now looking like a player who can do the business for us.
-
Spot on and just goes to show how we missed the boat in the summer, we were in a great position to strengthen and kick on and didn't grasp the opportunity. It will be even dafter if in this window we go back and buy the players we went for in the summer. Plus those players would have found us a much more appealing proposition thinking they were coming to a top 5 side with European football rather than now coming to a team in a relegation battle.

top management from Pardew in his handling of Marveaux. Eased him back into the team slowly, let him get properly fit after coming back from an injury plagued 2-3 years. Few months solid training and games with the reserves and odd cameos and now he has the strength and conditioning to impose himself on the PL and let his talent do the talking. At the start of the season i don't think he could have played 2 games in short space of time let alone dominate parts of those games and look to dictate the play for us.

Wasn't it Llambias that said we should sign him? Did Llambias go out to France and scout him then? I don't think Carr did either considering he was injured for most of the previous 2 seasons Also he had an agreement with Liverpool signed for months which fell through at his medical No he didn't, he never had a medical at liverpool He had agreed a contract with Liverpool months in advance though. no he didn't, they were interested in him and thought he was going there but swerved it and came here.

he could well be a really good player but we need a experienced centre back, can't bring a kid in who will need time to adapt.
-
The defender with the most blocks and clearances this season is missing and we conceded 7.......
-
we will win.
-
Marv, ahead of the other two holding. He has already came out and said his favourite position is central midfield.
-
teams can be shocking but if players like Colo just switch off and don't do the basics then they will punish you. Team performance was decent but let down by individual errors.

Arsenal v Newcastle United - 29/12/12 @ 5.30pm (Live on ESPN)

Its not a happy ship at Arsenal at present, if we come out firing like we did at Old Trafford and get a lead and manage to hold onto it for longer than 10 minutes if we can then get them frustrated the crowd will turn on them. Need to get right in there faces and just give it a go, but make sure we defend properly, something we haven't managed to do in our last 4 away games when we have just given ridiculous goals away at Stoke, Fulham, Southampton and Man U. -
well Villa getting another humping as cheered me up a little bit.
-
that doesnt make sense If that performance was against most of the league we would had won but if we had defended better we would had won IMO. doesn't matter how well we played, if we defend like we did today we won't win many games.
-
If we'd done the basics and defended properly we would have got something easily from that game.

Last season we had the Biggest point haul from the Christmas games with 9 from 12(only loss was our usual Anfield defeat). Would be a christmas miralce if we were too repeat that this season!!!
