just watching MOTD and the van persie getting smacked with the ball thing, he had lost it and if he hadn't tripped/stumbled when getting up to confront Williams i think he'd have got a red, would definately have raised his hands and pushed/hit Williams.
-
punctuation is over rated!!
-
i wouldn't have him starting at the minute as on current form don't think his form justifies a place in the team as he is one of the players who is really struggling for form this year and not sure that he is quite 100% following his knee injury but during this time of the season where we play games in a short space of time today was probably a good game for him to be rested with someone more creative like Marveaux could come in and then bring Jonas back for the trip to OT where when his running, workrate, covering etc could be better suited to that game.
-
well this looks like another thread to avoid, so much shite spouted on here its unbelievable.
-
why you laughing?? he stayed out on the pitch when all the other players had finished there warm up before kick off and was with one of the back room staff smacking balls left foot and right foot into the gallowgate net

7th or 14th March, not sure who is home first going off the draw if we beat Metalist we will be at home for the 2nd leg agaisnt hannover or Anzhi.
-
I saw Southampton when they played us up here and they were very good and beat us and we had a much stronger side out than tonight. Southampton are one of the clubs that have always had a good academy/youth system and bring through decent players.
-
Had one of his best games for us against Man City, hopefully give him a nice confidence booster for the upcoming games.
-
Strange one with the scan showing something but hatem feeling ok but with it being a hamstring the sensible thing to do is give him more rest time, like people have said missing Man City might not make a great deal of difference but a fit HBA could be the difference for us getting a result next week against QPR and we can't afford to lose him for a couple of months. At least Obertan shoud be back!!
-
If Bradford can beat Arsenal (all be it on pens) then we can beat Man City at SJP.
-
clutching at straws but Kompany and Yaya both limped out of the derby injured, hopefully with knocks that keep them out of Saturdays game. Probably won't make a great deal of difference withe them still having the likes of Tevez, Aguero etc but those two are massive players and will weaken them if they don't play.

Needless to say I don't agree but if we're playing well and losing and we're playing badly and losing then what have we got? We cannot win away. We cannot come from behind. We can barely win at home. We cannot create chances. We cannot score from set pieces. We cannot defend. I'm struggling to see any light at the end of the tunnel. You don't agree with what? that colo sleeping at the free kick hasn't cost us getting something from the game?
-
thought that was one of his better games he has had for us, never gave kakanilic a kick and defending really well, just a pity that his crossing wasn't a big better when going forward.

This place makes me laugh reading match threads when we lose. Pardew getting slated, Williamson getting slated, Tiote and Cisse getting slated, Simpson is s***, Krul can't kick, why take HBA off etc etc. Read the last pages from post match reaction and think one person has mentioned the reason we lost the game, Colo switching off, not marking and letting HIS man get a free header from 6 yards. He was also 80% at fault for the first goal. Great player but since Suarez ran him ragged at Anfield he's been all over the place, cost us the game tonight and the game at Stoke. Yes people can make excuses about playing with Williamson etc but the simple fact is we were defending a free kick and he didn't do his job and we lost.

Just heard his interview after that game and can't really disagree with what he said really, thought it was a pretty honest account of the game.
-
ex players Kazenga Lua Lua & Paul Huntington also found the net today
-
The stream i was watching had Mcmanaman co-commentating and at HT Ian Darke was reading out texts from viewers, loved his answer to this question, Which player do you think SAFC need to turn them around? Macca - Player?? they need players, they need more than one player, they needs lots of players starting with a centre half, a centre midfielder and a centre forward!!
-
chuffed that Blackburn are struggling and doing even worse under the new manager after the way their fans treat Steve Kean.

I'll post my s*** post here as well. Agree. He's hardly going to have been motivated for this game. Also, it's one thing looking good in the first team, it's a completely different thing to look good in a mainly reserve team in a largely meaningless game. His performance on Monday SHOULD have guaranteed him a start against Fulham, if he doesn't start then it sends out all the wrong signals imo. totally disagree i'd have thought him going back to his own country and with him missing so much football recently that in a way he has probably become a bit of a forgotten man this was a great opportunity to go out and show people back home that he is still a top player Surely that should have got him motivated.
-
Hannover and Lazio look like they are both looking like they will top there groups so at least that is anther 2 chances to avoid a long trek to Eastern Europe.
-
Never mind Monday, he won't play many more games if he performs like he did tonight.
-
that PPV channel who showed the Atromitos game will probably snap us up.
-
Presumably the Russian and Ukrainian teams will be on there winter break or just returning from it when the games are played in Feb.
-
Some potentially nightmare trips in that seeded pot with possible trips to Russia and Ukraine in February!! the plus point would be those teams would be on there mid season break so may be rusty and not fully match fit.
-
the kids will play and the likes of Cisse and Colo will be on the bench.
