yeah both team have similar runs this month, when we play the likes of man U, Arsenal and Everton, they play man city, spurs and liverpool and also have Chelsea.

Not exactly want you want from a footballer but when he doesn't try to play football and just does the basics then he is OK. His defending tonight was good, was good in the air, made some good blocks at crucial times and looked pretty solid throughout. Its when he tries to play football that the problems start!! lol

Agreed apart from Jonas who was abysmal tonight. Would give Tiote more than 6, thought he bossed the middle of the park in the first half and as a result enabled Anita and Marv to get on the ball and create. He makes such a difference to us, even with 10 men when he was missing in the 2nd half they were getting on top at times and keeping possession without creating much. With Cheik in the first half we had a better control of the game.

Starting to look like a £6m international midfielder. Very good game tonight continuing on from a good performance at Stoke. In a bit of a crisis the lad has really stepped up to the plate in the last two games.

Type of night when both fans and players have to be in the mindset this is a game against the mackems or Man U. No one rocking up just before kick off thinking "ah its Wigan tonight we should beat them" and then sitting there expecting and then jumping on the backs of Simpson or Willo cos they misplace a price. SJP needs to be rocking and at its nastiest, right behind the players wearing black & white and right on top of the Wigan players. Players also can't afford a slow start, need to be stuck right into them from the first whistle and stop them getting on the ball and imposing there passing game on us. If we do that both on and off the pitch we will win it comfortably.

I couldn't give a f**k as long as we win Aye we need a morale boost, regardless of how a win moves us in the table. we just need to get the win to give us the boost, the next game is at Fulham and while it will be hard they are on a poor run themselves so if we were to kick on from a win tomorrow by then getting another win at Fulham then we will climb the table and can start looking up again rather than over our shoulders.

For all we are on a bad run, the teams that have beat us like Stoke, Swansea and West Ham are looking like some of the form teams in the country!

wouldn't hold anything against him or any player who uses twitter and gives someone some stick back bearing in mind the stick that they get on there. he's struggling for confidence but think alot has to do with some of his bookings (and the red) he has picked up this season, some of them have been shocking and given on reputation and for his 1st foul in a game when virtually every other player in the league would get a warning first. As a result he is playing slightly withdrawn in himself when i think he's at his best when playing on the edge and snapping into tackles. The way he won the first goal was more like the old Cheik but that pass that led to Stoke's equaliser was poor but then we still should have defended the goal better.

Surely its early to be ruling out some of the injured players, could 3 or 4 more days of extensive treatment see HBA back, although naturally would have to play safe with it being a hamstring but surely Obertan can man up and get a pain killing injection in his toe and play, as far as i know its not broken. i would have him culpable for the 2nd goal, Williamson was never going to win that header against Jones, the bloke is a giant who also has a great leap and the ball forward was perfect for him to get the run and leap on Williamson, the most important thing for the team to do was make sure we got to the knockdown but Colo and the rest of the defence had went AWOL.
