the good thing is we have players who fit perfectly into either formation so even changing it during the game doesn't disrupt us. You have to give Spurs alot of credit yesterday though, the pressed us high up the pitch and made it difficult to get our passing game going. Probably why we signed Anita, someone who will sit on the defence and always give them a passing option. after we signed Anita i had a quick look on youtube for any clips and there is one video of Ajax v PSV and it has every Anita touch, first thing that struck me watching was how many times he picked the ball up off the keeper and started Ajax's attacks from there D. Centre halfs would split and he would come deep to collect and away they would go. Tiote did it in one of the pre season games, can't remember which one, think it was one of the games in Portugal so think it could be something we will be doing this season, think its a better tactic playing 433 rather than 442 mind.

i agree which is why he'll probably start off on the bench, if the likes of Cabaye and Cisse have been struggling then they may not last 90 mins, don't think adding HBA to the starting line up would be wise as we couldn't risk too many who aren't 100% because if we do then pick up injuries during the game we may have to use or subs wisely.

Yes but s*** for those that like to watch the u18s and reserves, I've not looked at the fixtures but hopefully only be like this for the long distance trips. yes but the reserve game is behind closed doors anyway at the training ground, you can still watch the U18 game. if the reserve game was open to public then you could have watched all 3 games iirc, the u18 game will finish as the reserve game starts.

Can't get my head round the fact folk don't understand that what happens in the Anita deal has no impact in our search for a right back. Can only presume Graham Carr when he has gone back to the club has said Ajax have this player called Vurnon Anita, good young versatile player, think he is worth x amount and done the same with Debuchy. If the coaching staff and Carr have watched the players and came up with a valuation, then llambias is going to go into talks with that valuation in his head when negotiations start, from the sounds of it Lille have moved the goalposts.
