Shola will be one of the first name on the team sheet. Depending on HBA's fitness he could start on the bench against Spurs and play in the Europa game.
-
how are Spurs looking for the start of the season?? Obviously they have lost Ledley King after his retirement, looks like Modric is going and just seen that Parker is out for a few weeks. Apart from signing Sygurdsson have they signed anyone else? has Adebayor made a permanent switch after his loan? Not having to face King, Modric, Parker and Adebayor has got to be a good thing for us, that was the spine of there team last season.
-
probably more to do with him being injured than Deschamps losing the plot.
-
Don't see any issues with HBA for the start of the season, him and Cabaye's fitness levels would have still being pretty good after playing in the Euros and he could easily play 60-75 mins on Tuesday followed by 90 minutes against Cardiff next Saturday coupled with another 2 weeks training and he'll be ok for the start of the season.

I bet you're right . Or maybe BBC Radio Newcas...nah. they have announced a press conference for this wednesday. well thats what Bernie reckons on twitter. -
8.45, no time difference from Portugal to UK.

i've just tried to watch on iplayer and had the same thing. If the Olympics weren't on it would be on the red button.
-
Think Streete is still easing himself back from the injury he picked up at the back end of last season, i haven't seen his name in any of the line ups in the reserves friendlies so far this season. If AC was built like Remi then i think AC would be with the first team now not playing with the youth team.
-
yes think he's been capped all the way up to U17.
-
not sure but there is a new reserve league starting this season.
-
normally there's highlights on the red button on bbc of this tournament, has in years gone by, having the olympics on though in the next few days will probably mean its not shown this year.
-
agree with Madras it all depends on the quality of the opposition in europe plus if it gets pulled forward to the Tuesday then that changes things again. Once the season starts though i don't want team for the league and team for the cups i just want us to take each team as it comes and Pardew picks the best team he sees fit for that particular match and just rotate everyone in the squad with the odd exception like Cisse and Colo being rested in the likes of early round of the carling cup.
-
thats a massive gamble, despite getting some results in the last couple of visits to Stamford Bridge, most of the time you are not going to get much from there and if we were too send a weakened team into europe and it gets beat and we go out followed by the full strength team losing to Chelsea the season is going to start on a huge downer.

he scored today for the juniors in the Milk cup in N.Ireland in a 4-0, looks a good prospect, very quick but also very small, could do with a growth spurt or feel his size might stop him getting to the top, hopefully i am wrong. -
why mess around with a loan deal, if we took him on loan we'd have to cover his wages and are way out of our league. Lets just go straight in with a cash offer, apparently the offer was season loan then a £17m fee, well lets just give them £17m, we have 25% sell on so that works out at £12.75m. Don't think wages would be an issue, think he'd happily walk back to play here again.

i think Bigi is seen as Tiote's long term replacement, he's just a kid, don't think he'll feature much in the first team next season unless we get injuries or he is a hell of alot better than expected. From what i've heard and read he's still very raw and has plenty to learn. The good thing is that he will learn plenty from training and playing with the likes of Cabaye and Tiote in training every day.
-
Another solid DM could be a good signing, especially with Debuchy coming in as we will have 2 attacking fullback, Anita and Tiote could then sit and protect while the fullbacks bomb on debuchy taylor colo santon tiote anita hba cabaye ba cisse that team is nicely balanced both defensively and attacking wise.

I am looking forward to this season for the reserve/youth team, could be a good year, i'm sure that there is a new reserve league and after going close in the last few seasons the club must fancy there chances of going all the way in the Youth Cup with that team now made up of the team that won the NIke Premier cup a few years back. Just hope the club don't play all the games behind closed doors....
-
i would have to go with Ash, seen him quite a few times and can't see how or why the club seem to rate him so highly, the club have let go players in the last 2 or 3 years that are better than Richardson.
-
Hadn't realised he had flew out to Germany with the rest of the squad, thought him and Cisse had more time off but both are in the training pics.
-
how longs left, know we kicked off a bit late.
-
not sure about the tv coverage for the Cheminitzer game but the Monaco game a few days later is live on ESPN

good news along with Curtis Goodin, hopefully two excellent young players who we don't see in the first team next season (barring maybe a carling cup runout) -
i think he's going to be this seasons Perch and turn out good.

i expect to wake up in the next couple of days to see NUFC have announced the transfer on the official website at 5am or some other ridiculous time in the middle of the night/early morning.
