  1. on the verge of a suspension now as he's got 4 yellows, needs to get through next 2 games and then the threat is over as it goes to 10 yellows. if he gets a booking at Bolton i dread to think what Suarez will do to our defence without him and same if he survives Bolton but gets one against Liverpool as we then have Man U!
  2. have people on here been thinking and saying Santon for Raylor was tactical? As soon as Raylor came out at halt time to warm up and was coming one of the fullbacks it was obvious it was an injury, there was no need to make a change at full back for any other reason than an injury had been picked up, my fear was that he was coming on to play in midfield.
  3. Done well to get the free kick for Ba's first goal with some positive play when coming inside but yet again overall a very disappointing performance.

Wish he wouldn't drop so deep to pick the ball up, i know he wants to get involved but want him getting it on the edge of the area where he can get shots off or little passes into the likes of Ba. Do not want to see him coming to the halfway line and losing the ball trying to dribble past someone like he did in tonights game.
  5. would be tempted to put Williamson in although i'm rather suprised that he didn't feature in the friendly game the reserves had earlier this week against Kilmarnock, surely another 45 minute run out to sharpen him up wouldn't have done any harm.
  6. Sickener tonight especially with Liverpool only drawing and Stoke getting beat.

if he fails then surely questions have to be ask if he's up to the job, he would have failed that task as well as his failure to get a striker "over the line" which he admitted to on the Q&A. it begs the question what can he do to build and strengthen the business when under his watch we also have failing merchandise revenue....

    Tamas Kadar

Yes he did say that when his leg was broken. That was one of the best bravest bits of defending i've ever seen, bit of a goalmouth scramble and ball rolls along the goal about 3 yards out, Jordan Henderson comes steaming in to grab what looks like a last minute equaliser with the goal gaping but out of nowhere kadar dives in knocks the ball out and hendersons lunge connects straight into his leg and breaks it.
  10. my mate who works at the airport (god i sound like i should be on RTG) saw Tiote today when he flew back into the country and had a little chat with him and Tiote says he has had the all clear and should be back for the next game.

After a weekend when we have had no centre backs we now have 5 centre halfs in the reserve squad.

Whatever anyone thinks about HBA the simple facts are that both Best and Shola have shown more in their appearances this season than him. I've said it for weeks but if HBA is going to play i think the best way to play him his on the right and give him a similar role to how Modric played against us for Spurs at SJP, play on the right with the licence to come inside and link with the forwards and likes of cabaye and then drop back on the right when we don't have the ball.

can fully understand why HBA didn't start today, without our centre halfs we were lacking in height so totally understandable Shola played, plus Shola had done well in the 2nd half against Chelsea, however got to say i was amazed HBA didn't come on for Obertan, i'd have made that change at half time. I know Pardew has said he see's HBA as a "number10" but think he needs a re-think and play him in place of obertan who is just woeful.

Supposed to be quite decent. is he? when i went to the reserve game against Liverpool he was on crutches and in a knee brace! was meant to be a long term injury. He's a good player however he is more of a left back than centre back but bit like tavernier who can do both. Some on here said he was a fairly good prospect around the US shambles when he was sent from Holland to join the first team. he is a good prospect, my initial reply was about him being in the squad rather than answering you question.

  16. whats the chances of Santon coming in at left back and Raylor going in to midfield to replace Guthrie?
  17. Onouha is a decent shout and we could even be able to do a loan deal for him which would be even better.
  18. Tiote is decent in the air though and has a good leap on him.
  19. Kadar is fit enough, played in 4 of the last 5 reserve games, captaining the side, only games he missed was when he was on international duty.
  20. At least he'll be match sharp having turned out for Gateshead for the last couple of months. Been out injured, done his hamstring which stopped him playing for the reserves when we played the mackems, he was on the bench for Gateshead at the weekend though so he must be over that now.
  21. Just seen on .com that both Raylor & Simpson got booked at the weekend and now on 3 yellows, a couple more bookings for either of them in the next few games and we are looking even more stretched at the back and to further stretch us we let Tavernier get cup tied so if he's needed in January when we play in the cup he won't be able to.
  22. http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/11/13/erik-pieters-transfer-threatened-by-agent-row-79310-29766256/ Circumstances have changed now with both Colo and Saylor crocked. Personally i think in this situation we need to buy from a home based club, don't think we can gamble on someone coming in from Europe as we don't have time for someone to adapt to english football. We need someone who can come straight in and do a job. I'd be happy with Ridgewell or someone similar.

    Sunderland...

haven't been on RTG but after N'Zogbia's bust up with McCleish and getting dropped are they thinking that they'll sign him in January again?? it wouldn't be a transfer window with RTG wanking themselves over the arrival of Charlie.
  24. How about we go with a radical skirge-esque line up and go with a 3 4 3 formation KRUL SIMPSON PERCH SANTON RAYLOR GUTHRIEorTIOTE CABAYE JONAS BA SHOLA HBA
