Strange decision for them bearing in mind you will never hear radio stations like radio newcastle, realradio or capital say tonight we have tickets for Rihanna/Snow Patrol for there concert at the Metro Radio Arena, they will just say at the Arena or Newcastle Arena.

The daft thing is everyone knows that it will always be St James' Park and as a result big companies aren't going to fall over themselves to throw millions of quid into our coffers when they know that no one will call it by the new name.

Radio 5 Live - NUFC Love In. This Wednesday at 8-30pm
binnsy replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Nixon you missed a glorious opportunity not mentioning the renaming of SJP as the answer to why Ashley and Llambiar haven't been accepted, would have been explosive and probably would have got the boxing slot scrapped and the NUFC story extended for another 30 minutes!! -
Would be just our luck for nasri gets sent back to City, Cabayes stays and aggravates the injury and then Nasri plays a blinder against us for City

We could be a good time to play Man City(if there is such a thing), its just after an international break and just before a crucial champions league game that they need to win. I'm also pretty sure that after the last International break Mancini only played Hart out of all the players that had been on international duty and i'm sure he said he would be doing that after all International breaks. Only thing is i don't think there's that many midweek international games, apart from the playoff i think England are one of the few countries who are playing 2 games. Bosnia are though so although it means we might not face Dezko but they'll bring Ballotelli in!
-
they won 4-0, Campbell scored 2, Hooper and Knight with the goals

Its quite easy, brought in good players with a winning mentality, have a team with fantastic spirit and work ethic who are brilliantly organised and solid defensively which is giving the team a excellent platform to then go out and play. Be nice to see what the "experts" verdict is though, i wonder if we can try and get Lawro on for his expert knowledge!!
-
Love the ignorance and laziness of the pundits in this country, just because they haven't heard of the likes of Cabaye, Tiote etc they get dismissed as average no hopers. We may not have spent loads of money but look at the players we have brought in, Tiote came after winning the Dutch title, Ben Arfa came with a bit of a reputation but throughout his career he's won title and title with Lyon and Marseille, Cabaye had just captained his side to the French title and establishing himself into the French team and Santon has come from Inter Milan with a few medals tucked in his pocket as well. So the players we have splashed big(ish) money on have come with a winning mentality. Even Obertan, while not playing regularly has spent time in and around the "winning mentality" of the Man U dressing room. Then we have grabbed a few bargain freebies, mainly thanks to sketchy injury records, Marveaux comes with a big reputation and highly rated back in France and then Ba, you look at his record in the last 2-2.5 seasons with Hoffenheim, West Ham and NUFC and he hasn't stopped scoring, you'd be delighted with his goals return even if you'd bought him for £10m!! Add that to a side including Argentinian internationals Colo and Jonas, both hugely improved since they dropped into the Championship and one of the best young Keepers in the world is it really that shocking that we should be winning games of football??
-
Played excellently in the last two games, will have to feel slightly aggreived at the weekend if Tiote is fit and comes back in.
-
reserves play Wigan away on Tuesday(today), would like HBA and Marveaux to get a run out to sharpen themselves up for if they are needed to come on and maybe unlock Everton on Saturday. Don't think they'll be involved though.

Under 18's were beaten 4-0 away at Leeds today.
-
i was really confident when the draw was made and two weeks ago when we bought our tickets but the nearer the game gets the less confident i am getting especially wiht the possibilty of the likes of Elliott, Perch, Smith etc getting a game.
-
Just go anyway and get a ticket down there in the home end, i can't see many of there fans turning up. Can see us having virtually half the crowd.
-
That bloke in the green hoody with the shaved head is a bigger media whore that Steve Wraith, he's guaranteed to be on the steps of SJP after every event that attracts the likes of SSN to the ground.
-
lol i realised that but meant the full story, i am presuming he's made more than 1 or 2 tweets.
-
for us non tweeters, whats he saying?

As much as i love the Coloccini song i think we need to add the first verse into the song rather than just starting with the chorus and Oh Coloccini.. the first 2 lines are perfect, its just the middle few lines that need tweaking. You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off you. You'd be like heaven to touch. I wanna hold you so much. At long last love has arrived. And I thank God I'm alive. You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off you.
-
You'd like to think so but Redknapp will probably get it for a draw at SJP.
-
my biggest gripe with our fans at the minute is the constant sreaming to get the ball forward quickly, Pardew said at the start of the season when he brought in the likes of cabaye was to help us control games and keep possession. I love the fact we look so comfortable in possession and pass it around, Tiote will get him play out wide but if Taylor or Jonas can't go down the left, the ball comes back in the middle either via Colo or Tiote or Cabaye and we'll switch it but too many times when it comes back there'll be moans and groans. Its probably a case of educating the crowd but when you look at the best, Barca & then Spain internationally, possession is key, if we have the ball we have control of the game. Our team is built on a solid foundation and we have an excellent defensive shape and as a result or pretty tight defence and as a result if we are controlling the game and keeping the ball we will make enough chances to win the game.
-
Cracking win, scruffy 1-0's when you aren't playing well are the key so having a good season.
-
I'd expect the likes of Back Page still have plenty of spaces. Heard of SSN earlier that the fans are planning another protest at the Spurs game, if they do lose it i hope Kean doesn't get sacked before we play them.
-
Think we need to lay off the lad, going through a hard time at the minute off the field with his baby very poorly and in and out of hospital. Pardew mentioned it tonight but i trust Pardew to manage the situation well and if he needs to be rested i think he will be.
-
Overall he was poor, didn't look like a player out to impress and show he has a future at club, scored two although he couldn't really miss them but missed two other sitters and a penalty. Guess he really is a lost cause here. I know he might not have played well (I obviously haven't seen the match), but just from reading the match report, he scored twice, hit the post once, and set up a teammate for a goal in a match against fairly decent competition. Hardly a career ending performance The bit in bold is quite telling. It seems he doesn't really give a f*** otherwise he would have done more to impress. Just an assumption here. Yeah thats what i was meaning, you'd think that after what has happened to him since the summer he'd have gone out tonight and he go out tonight and run himself into the ground and bust a gut.
