love all these comments about making Harper the goalkeeper coach, what are we going to do with the one we already have?? And why would Harper want to be a coach when he's quite capable of playing for a good few years.

i'm sure the fact they have just won the league and overtook Liverpool as the countries most successful club ever with 19 titles will be considered by them as a pretty magnificent achievement, even more so if they follow it up by winning the Champions league final. The fact you have argued over the relevant merits though of what Man U have done backs up my argument over disagreeing with Pardew saying we have had a magnificent season.
-
I read elsewhere that to do so would be accepting of mediocrity, that the home season has been s**** and that finishing mid-table is nothing to celebrate. And people accuse me of being negative. thats just mental, while i disagree with Pardew when he said we've been magnificent, we haven't had a magnificent season, Man Utd have had one we haven't. Personally speaking i think a mid table position is something worth celebrating, back in August the goal for the season was to survive in our 1st season and stop up, we have achieved that comfortably and Sunday should see both the fans and players/staff come together in appreciation of a job well done.

I hope win lose or draw the fans stay back to show their appreciation for the players for a very enjoyable season.

yeah i agreed with that bit, i can't see us signing English and if that means we don't get Carlton Cole i'd be delighted! I just have my doubts that we'll be the first team to dive into the transfer market and bring in two players quickly.
-
the fact this has come from llambias probably means its bull but just been playing golf and one of the lads i was playing with was in the corparate against Birmingham and they got chatting apparently Dekka said we were close to tying up TWO deals and also said that we shouldn't get "hung up" on the lack of English players coming in. Like a i say probably bollocks

yes one of the best results for NUFC, it was a nightmare at the time but if we'd won that game and got promoted then the was a strong possibilty that mckeag would've held onto power and Sir John Hall and the Magpie group wouldn't have taken control, brought us Keegan and made us the club we are today.

Looking promising but can he take a penalty?
-
i wish a one of those Fulhams efforts that hit the woodwork went in, would have lifted Blackpool out the relegation zone. Still only 1 goal in it so whoever gets the least humping stays up!

i'd like to see Tavernier have a run out in place of Simpson, it will be a good test for him up against Jerome Thomas. Keep the rest of the side the same as the starting line up as today but look to bring on sammy and kazenga in the 2nd half.
-
i'm sure after the 5-1 win over the mackems when he was interviewed he said he was nervous when taking the penalty as he'd practiced a few the day before and missed them all!!

would make my summer if we got Hulk.

Be amazed if Richardson plays, due to the clampdown on watching the reserves with them played behind closed doors and stuff i haven't seen much of him but on the 3 or 4 games i have seen i think he miles off a premier league footballer, he didn't even stand out against Blyth on Wednesday. I presume with the experience Donaldson has got playing at Hartlepool he'd be more likely to play than Richardson.
-
has anyone got the updated version of the alltime points league table for the premier league
-
to be fair though it was his own crap control of the ball that caused him to get his booking against Birmingham.

did you not see if lift the Championship trophy last season and then the huge one in the summer in Spain? Not in front of my own eyes. What happened to the big one..did Ashley melt it down? Wouldn't put it past him! lol The number 4 was Paddy McLaughlin and yes he did play well, though him and Inman, no.8, pretty much ran the game in the middle of the park although Ameobi and Donaldson also played well. Airey took his goals well although should have probably came off with the match ball as he had chances to get a hat trick. Tavernier's goal was a screamer and is possibly the first goal at reserve level, screamer from 25 yards which was virtually hitting the back of net before the keeper started diving! Also thought young Streete did well before he was subbed, suppose he does have school in the morning. All in all a really good match even allowing for the idiots in the crowd, sadly the younger NUFC element, why they can't just sit and watch the game rather than standing at the back of the stand singing s**** songs about Blyth i don't know. It takes a special idiot to get himself thrown out of a reserve game. That's been my nagging issue with his game for the last few years now. Can't fault his attitude and application during a game, as he works hard and gets into the positions to score goals, but always comes across as if he doesn't think the ball will get to him, and if it does seems to snatch at the chance. there keeper pulled off two cracking saves in the 2nd half to deny him but early in the game Inman played him in down the inside right channel but he sliced it horribly high and wide into the leazes end. I forgot the comedy moment of the night when the blyth keeper came and caught a cross from a corner went to take a quick kick to start a counter attack only to drill the kick into the back of the ref knocking him flat on his face.

Good hopefully it'll mean we can save Tiote from a suspension and Pardew will see for his own eyes that Smith is nowhere near good enough to be kept on for next season....
-
I like Kranjcar and think he'd do a decent job for us but he wouldn't exactly cure our lack of pace that we have in the middle of the park.

Every single Brazilian alive. Give up, man. Brazilians are all s*** apart from R9. Brazilians are all shit apart from R9?? what u on about?
-
Be almost worth it to see Sol Campbell up against Drogba and Torres. It'd probably kill him. think Campbell is injured?

thanks to MOTD he's probably going to be banned for the rest of the season.
