where's the option for Andy Carroll??
-
started the week fearing the worst but was getting more confident as the week went on but definately wasn't expecting a 4-1 win! Cracking result and with Birmingham and West Brom winning and Wigan and Blackburn getting points we needed those 3 points. Shola was also brilliant, great to be at the match today and have his haters near me silenced, when he's bad he's atrocious but today he was unbelievable, unplayable in the first half and thoroughly deserved his goal. Lets hope he continues with that form for the rest of the season.

lol Figo and Simonson, world footballer of the year and both won european player of the year who scored hundreds of goals yet ITV both show the scoring against us!!
-
haha the only goal they show Alan Simonson score is against NUFC!!
-
To be fair though Ben Arfa broke his leg this season, ramsey broke his last season!!

Matt Jarvis from Wolves is in the England squad
-
he's not been his awesome self since we gave him the new contract.
-
Frankie Bunn has been appointed the new coach of the Under 18's.
-
Not as quickly as i'd hoped, i thought this season would see him break through but he seems to have gone backwards although i think his progress has been hindered by injuries this season.

ok then league 1, you still didn't answer the question though. He's a more composed and dominant keeper than Krul. well i don't if he's improved on that score while on loan but after watching the pair of them come through the academy and reserves Forster has never been more composed or dominant than Krul. To be fair i think both of them need to be more dominant but then again they are both kids and that will come with experience.

haha they've played at Whitley park for the last 4 seasons! come on then genius, give me his strengths and weaknesses and lets here why this lad should jump to the queue and while every manager we've had since Roeder has rated Krul the better keeper. Also I don't see England being blessed with a great bunch of young keepers yet despite playing week in week out in the championship and SPL he's not had a sniff of a U21 call up.
-
More than you, clearly. i've seen him playing for our reserves loads of times and a few times on sky this season when Celtic have been on but he's been a spectator in most of those.
-
If we are planning to play Sol then i hope we give him a runout in the reserves against West Ham on Tuesday, with his lack of football since xmas i think we should give him a 60 minute run out just to get a bit of match sharpness and get rid of some rustiness.

While i agree that its a decent interview and interestin reading i'm slightly puzzled why our chief scout is giving interviews to newspapers. I can't imagine Man U, Arsenal, Everton, Spurs or indeed any PL clubs scout doing interviews.
-
all these people saying they want Forster over Krul, have you actually seen him play?
-
Kuqi, Guthrie and Krul. Anyone know which turnstiles they are opening tonight? the East Stand will be the only stand open and knowing NUFC they will only have about 4 turnstiles on so expect to queue!!

Starting to do too much talking, best tip i can give Pardew now is keep quiet and just do the business in the summer. I don't want to hear about what might happen and what has happened in the past.

In fact alot talking about people on this forum (including me) falling for the "PR line" of the club, well I think most are falling for this great PR exercise. Appoint a spineless c*** and he'll get all the blame. The finger is constantly being pointed at the manager, when in reality it should be being pointed as those above him. He's just a puppet, and it's working for Ashley perfectly. Not constantly, just when he f***s up the starting XI and his subs. Square pegs in round holes don't work and he carries the can. square pegs......like barton on the right wing ? Barton on the right of midfield has worked tbf. The exception rather than the rule though. how many other squre pegs has he played ? yesterday seemed an all round poor performance rather than blaming those two, the left and centre (from the tv at leat) were equally as bad. He started a RB at RW, and a CB at RB. When given the choice or bringing of Ferguson to replace Enrique like for like he decided to play the RB who was playing RW back to LB, and move a striker to RW. None of the players who played out of position played well. To be fair i think had we been level at the time of the Enrique substitution then he'd have brought on Ferguson but with us trailing he went for the more positive attacking move and brought on a striker. Obviously you've then got issue of square pegs/round holes as Simpson went to left back and Lovenkrands to the right wing. At the time i agreed with that decision, we were losing and it was a positive move to try and get us back into the game, just a pity that it didn't work, Loven was anononymous and Simpson while not terrible just left us unbalanced and we lost some attacking threat.

can see it being another draw but we could really do with a win.
-
you can't blame alcohol for Barton picking up an injury, he's tea total!
-
Just for the 12 month direct debit. cheers, thought it was.

Is today just the deadline for direct debits or to guarantee the price for ten years?
