he didn't get twatted but was forced to take "evasive" action to avoid getting thumped.
  3. Surely £35m sitting in the bank is going to make a canny bit of interest in the next 6-7 months. Hope we get that to spend as well.
  4. probably in the not realistic category but i would love Ben Arfa to persuade his mate Karim Benzema that NUFC is the place for him. Them two linking up the way they did for Lyon would be awesome!! no idea how much he'd cost but Madrid are bound to spend big on strikers again and have a history of selliing cheaply.
  5. any idea what the operation was on and whats been wrong with the lad?

i'm going to start it. Even though i've only seen him once live he's the new Michael Owen!! thats the young Owen that burst onto the scene at Liverpool not the wreck that was at NUFC.

No idea about Airey, could be injured could be in the squad for 2moro. Very difficult to get info on the youngsters. Vuckic looks to have vanished and nothings been said if he's injured(presume he is) and if he is whats wrong and how long he's out for.

Unbelievable scoreline bearing in mind we are currenlty top of the league and Bolton are bottom! 4 nil down at HT.
  13. just seen this on toon talks FB page Andy Carroll contacted editor Steve Wraith today via text to say, "I'm gutted to be leaving my home town club, i was told to go. I didn't want to leave that's why I signed a 5 year deal. I was pushed out of the door." Andy asked us to make this public to all fans.
  14. Short term surely we need to be offering Bolton around £3m to get Elmander. Out of contract in a few months.
  15. IF I was AC i'd be going to Liverpool and wanting at least £125k a week. If the club are prepared to smash the transfer record for a british player i'd want them to pay me wages to match so would want to be paid the same as the likes of Gerrard etc.
  16. i'd be amazed if we were even thinking of bringing a goalkeeper. We are hardly awash with money and every other part of the team is in need of strengthening, we need a left back and striker desperately and with our injuries a midfielder would be handy. i'm expecting both Barton & Tiote to be serving 2 match bans by March for collectin ten yellow cards so we could do with some cover.
  17. We may not know what he's like in training but there's plenty of people have seen him barely be bothered to shake a leg when he's played for the reserve team. He hasn't even festered in the reserves as he hasn't been good enough to get a game or showed the desire and application to play for the shirt. Rightly so the club have played the likes of Ranger and Airey as they want to go out and play for the club.

    Sunderland...

I have heard he had a bad reaction to the vaccinations. Why did he catch malaria when he came to Sunderland for talks? its Typhoid and cholera that are the big problem over there not malaria.
  19. He's been resting up in Portugal for a week and it'll be 10/11 days since our last game!
  20. Apparently Manchester United have joined the race to get the Olympic stadium. A spokesman for the club said it would be good to move there from Old Trafford as they would be nearer their core fan base.

Got to say i was disappointed with that tonight. Terrible game and NUFC were poor, if they play like that in the next round Man U will hammer us. It was my first look at this group and hopefully they've just had an off night but on first showing they are nowhere near as good as last year's youth cup team. They do seem to be quicker and have a few more tricks but there passing was sloppy and were let down by poor decision making at times. The last 15 mins of the 90 and extra time saw players dropping like flies with cramp, at one time we had 4 players down at the same time! i did think Streete stood out at the back and played well and i was impressed with young Adam Campbell when he came on and looks like he could be a new Michael Owen, looks very very quick, if he grows a bit then in a couple of years he could be lethal alongside Carroll. Sayers winner was excellent, although it may have been a cross. Another negative was the attitude of some of the players, the lost their discipline for a period in the 2nd half and i didn't like Knight and Sayer going over to the penalty spot and kicking it up before they took their pen. Not sure if Spear was injured but he seemed to just storm straight down the tunnel when subbed which is bang out of order at that age!
  22. We may have played you in friendlies in the 50's or 60's but never in a competitive match. We had to wait till the Champions league for that.

one of the reasons i'm looking forward to going to the youth cup game 2moro night is to see what the next "group" coming through are like, one of the downsides of been shut out of the reserve game this season is that i haven't had the chance to see any of the new group of players coming through.

    Sunderland...

Have any of them ever seen him play? Doubt many of them have actually seen Muntari play bar a couple of games. Naturally they'll just block out the fact he's not much more than average and pretend they've got some sort of star signing. Portsmouth FA Cup: 2008 Internazionale Supercoppa Italiana: 2008, 2010 Serie A: 200809, 200910 Coppa Italia: 200910 UEFA Champions League: 200910 FIFA Club World Cup: 2010 If that's what "average" is these days then I'm more than happy to accept it. How many games has Muntari played in those winning sides though? not many i bet, Muntari's role at Inter was to warm the bench and help dish out the bibs in training.
