There's no way he'd sign for anyone else. He f***ing went on strike to come here man, and after the reception he's gotten, there's no doubt in my mind that he wants to stay and return the favour. f***ing brilliant piece of business if we get this lad for £5m. In all honesty, it would be cracking business to get him for twice that. Over the f***ing moon if this comes off. Aye, he'd look like a f***ing idiot if he went on strike, flew over here by his own accord, did everything possible to sign for us, played brilliantly in his first start, won over the fans, broke his leg and then signed for Liverpool Don't see how the liverpool link comes about anyway, when the loan was set up the deal included NUFC having first refusal on him to sign permanently or after 25 games. Obviously with the injury he was never going to play the 25 games so rather than risk anything going tits up at the end of the season and other teams possibly trying for him we are right to snap him up now.

don't think u can blame fabianski that much for that goal.

charlie sent off for nutting Wilshere!! yes.

Its got to be a bonus for us that they are getting the runaround by arsenal so far tonight, they've been chasing shadows. lets hope it continues in the 2nd half, a couple of knocks for charlie and rodalega would be handy as well!

i've got to agree with Ronaldo, certain games you need to play 451 and Man City are one of those games, mainly due to how they play. they have De Jong, Barry and Yaya in the middle along with Milner and Silva who drops off and floats around everywhere and then you have Tevez who although playing as the striker also comes deep. You can't expect to play just two central midfielders as they'd be completely over run.

how realistic is Downing from Villa? Seen Villa play a few times this season and if we had him putting the crosses in from the left Carroll would get a boat load of goals. He put more decent balls into Spurs box in the 1st half alone today than Jonas has in 2 seasons! He also scores goals, not sure but think he's top scorer for Villa.
-
Thought we were excellent today after a horrendous start. We'll play much worse than that this season and win.
-
pretty sure he has been injured although think he maybe back in training now.

i'll follow Nixons lead and pick a team.... SRNICEK NADAL SAMMER ALBERT SOLANO REDONDO JUNINHO (lyon one) EDER RUI COSTA SAVICEVIC HUGO SANCHEZ
-
He was the most one footed player I think I've ever seen. But what a left foot. the goals he scored against Scotland and Russia (i think) were quality, a brilliant chip against the Jocks and then ran onto a square pass, flicked it up and volleyed it into the top corner from 25 yards and never broke stride.

Eder, the left winger in the Brazil 82 WC team, absolute class but seemed to just disappear after the tournament unlike the likes of Zico, Junior, Socrates and Falcao. What a team that was, still can't believe they didn't win the WC.

i would say if you let any player go past 18 month left on their contract then you are entering dangerous ground and can be in danger of losing players. Tricky thing for NUFC and probably a few other clubs will be in a similar position they are starting negotiations with players who are on big money and with clubs tightening their belts will be offering newer deals with less money! If players want to be greedy, they will not sign the new contract and leave on a bosman and that will probably mean they can keep the bigger wages as the new club won't be forking out a transfer fee.
-
Glad he's come out and dismissed the talk of leaving and wanting to stay but i am waiting to see if he's still as keen to stay when we offer him a new contract which will have him taking a pay cut of probably 15-20k a week less than he's getting now.
-
he's staying, new contract will be signed in the next few days.
-
nowt to do with him, blame the arse licker!!

reserves stuffed 5-1 tonight.

I've got a horrible feeling Tiote is going to be banned when we go to the Stadium of Light, he's 3 yellows away from a 2 match ban and has to get through Birmingham, which could be a physical battle, Man City, again tackles will be flying in with the likes of De Jong, Toure, Barry, Spurs, you just know that'll Modric will go flying when Tiote breathes on him, Wigan and then West Ham. if he has survived that lot i'd be resting him against Stevenage anyway.
-
no i understand that and fair play Fergie got his tactics right. Its more me being pissed off watching it when i said today at work that i wasn't cos they'll try and cancel each other out and it'll be a shit game but i did end up watching it and just think that two of the best teams in the so called best league should produce a bettter game than that, if a team was going to soak up pressure and hit on the break you expect it to be the away side.
-
Most of the excitement comes from it being fast and end to end but thats normally of a result of bad technique and passing in that the teams give the ball away so quick. There was a 15 min period mid way through the Spurs Chelsea game yesterday when the game was brilliant, 100 mph one end to the other but neither team could string 4 passes together! Even though man u won tonight i thought they were a disgrace, the so called biggest/best team in the country/world with a reputation since the Busby babes of attacking football, Fergie has went off for years about the tradition and style that his team play for years but tonight at home they played with Rooney isolated 20 yards away from the nearest midfielder as they pack the defence and midfield and try and hit on the break. At least Arsenal went to Old Trafford and stuck to their principals and played there normal game. The same way the likes of Barca and Real Madrid. Arsenal aren't that good a side to tell me Man U couldn't have went at them with Rooney and Berbatov up front and won that game quite easily.

speaking of De Jong, has that cunt even apologised yet for the tackle on HBA?
-
Needs to be playing though. [/quote totally agree, also needs to keep fit, he does seem to pick up injuries with alarming regularity. I think he would have gone on loan but he's needed as cover for Jose.
-
Kadar will come good and be an excellent player for us.
-
he's going to use the "stability" factor as his reason/excuse for having to leave.
-
Would be harsh to drop him after a good team win and decent individual performance, one scary moment with lack of communication with Saylor but pulled off some decent saves including a probable match winning save from the one on one with Torres.
