Transfers behind the managers back - can't work that like
  2. Very nice indeed. A lot of dollar though!

I like the idea that Colo has a bit of aan edge. Think we need to see a bit more of it actually
  4. Daily Mail saying he is signing for west ham in the next 2 days
  5. He played 17 games before March last year so he can't be that far down the pecking order.
  6. Around 15th/ 16th for me. Much depends on who we/ our rivals buy though. If we get no-one else then there is a fair chance we'd go down
  7. Last seasons shirt with 'martins 9' looks like a cracking deal like
  8. Good player McFadden. I'd be well chuffed. he might be one of the players who has 'become available' that big cH was on about yesterday.

I'm pleased we are genuinely in the market, but was hoping for someone proven. What it does show is that we won't be getting an Enrique equivalent on the right. That's disappointing but he's better than nowt.

It's no different from a novelist or comedy writer. They often write alone. Doesn't stop it being funny.
  12. The club via statements and shirt designs have took the excitement out of the close season
  13. Thanks for the admission, albeit tacit. You can go to bed now.

Cheating is wrong and it's pretty reprehensible that it has allowed the Uraguayans through. It's difficult to see an alternative way to resolve this though. You can't go giving goals for perceived professional fouls.
  15. The fuss about it on the Puma thread is disproportionate - I'm not denying that. You seem like the kind of lad who can't admit he was wrong though. That's what has dragged this out. That and your condescending line. For what it is worth, I am clever.
  16. I agree. It's a non-argument. You said it. It made you look a fickle tool. You're now embarrassed. Understandable that you want to draw a line. Enjoy the slumber
  17. Your post said that the new strip had played a role in reducing your excitement of the pending season. This is irrefutable. I think it's a daft thing to have said. That's the post, not the poster? Though the 2 are pretty clearly linked as you typed it?
  18. Dampened my sense of excitement about the new season this like
  19. No i said the CLUB via their efforts during the close season(listing two of their bigger mistakes in this time) has SOMEWHAT taken some excitement away from what is normally a time of looking forward to seeing how we will line up. We have know for some time we were going up, people were looking forward to seeing who we would sign, what our strips would be etc, the CLUB spoilt some of that excitement via their actions. Lets not let what i said get in your way though eh? The very idea that the look of a strip can have any influence on how excited or otherwise i am about a forthcoming football season is an anathema to me. You suggested that the this was the case. I think this is silly. Get over it. I suggested the club overall, the fact you still cant see it shows what little your opinion holds. Get over yourself. You said the club overall and cited the princely sum of 2 examples, one of which being the choice of strip. I'm not denying that the statemnet was a huge blow, but the strip is of negligible significance. You suggested otherwise and you're entitled to your opinion (a luxury you seem loathe to afford to others). I happen to think you were wrong. That's ok isn't it?

  21. Has someone seriously just said that the shirt design has taken the excitement from the close season? Heard it all now. Statement was a real blow, and just when you thought things couldn't get any worse the new Puma kit doesn't look as nice as an Adidas one that everyone complained about anyway. I'm looking forward to the season as much as I always do. I'll be happy if we stay up and will celebrate every point.
