Wonder if Tielemans is getting his publicized 200k/w. Villa always seemed like a likely destination. Not sure on him anymore, his legs don't seem what they were when i've seen him past couple of seasons but he does tend to come up with a couple of worldies every year.

Aye but Krafth could have easily limped on with his knackered knee and covered.

Brummie in here summing shit up

Don't mind Moyes like. It was a penalty but fuck West Ham, been shit and lucky as owt to be winning. Fiorentina rubbish as well, pale shadow of that class 90's side I used to watch. Rui Costa man.

Gonzalez is near death again
-
The quality of balls into the box by both sides has been atrocious
-
West Ham have been shit and their fans complete arseholes, hope they lose
-
Clear yellow for a stupid dive but will he do the same for Fiorentina? They've already tried to cheat several FKs
-
Ref playing straight into Fiorentina's hands, not giving blatant fouls and allowing them to play act, they'll just end up doing it more, makes for a pathetic spectacle.

Gonzalez fully recovered from being stabbed in the face earlier

Wonder if Hodor is there ready to chin some more Ultras

Think we'd run City close if we got all that together

Just doesn't seem at all fair (FFP, fuck off man) that Chelsea were, not only able to avoid major issues when Abramovich was sanctioned, they only went and got a potty billionaire owner who spent 600m on them. As if that wasn't enough, and after all the failure of the last 12 months, they're out their trading again for some of the better players in the world with probably one of the best available coaches in the world at the helm. After finishing mid table. They really are a disgustingly lucky club. Hate them.

They really are one of the worst fanbases in the country. I watch that Tyneside Life fella on YT, particularly his match day videos where he potters around the city, harmlessly interviewing visiting fans. Most he comes across, he'll have a bit of banter with. Some of the London clubs' fans can be a bit stand offish but in general most are canny and made welcome in our city. Then the Mancs come to town. Just a bunch of arseholes to a man, incapable of just relating to another human with a bit of humor. Aggressive and threatening for no reason at all. That plus this prick sums them up perfectly.

Well, we knew this thread would be bonkers this summer

Won't press.

The more ways we have to play, the more flexible we can be, all the better. Hard to do without pretty major squad improvements and with Eddie quoted as saying without CL (or was it just Europe in general?), we "wouldn't have been able to do much". That is a somewhat scary thought because, as much as this 22/23 squad will live long in the memory and be cherished by all, without a decent amount of improvement, it's easy to see us ending up slightly stale next year. Long-winded way of saying "thank fuck we got CL".
-
Agree and think that was Liverpool's main mistake this year, they waited a year too long to replace the likes of Henderson. They'll be back next year, unfortunately. I am extremely curious in the tactical direction/evolution we take, and hugely excited to see how we improve the squad but more in the way we develop tactically and strategically, rather than the amount spent. We're in excellent hands.
-
100%. I think we'll really take one or two to the cleaners next season, I don't think too many teams play like us in world football and plus we're bound to evolve slightly anyway. So even if some coaches decide to pour over tapes of our play this year, it won't be the same by the time we play them. I think also Eddie is the obsessive type, the type to be a little stung by how Brighton worked us over in August and Villa late in the season and will not want that to happen again.
-
That was an excellent watch, Eddie is something else, something we've perhaps never had before. We really must be a nightmare to play against when we're on, even against the best prepared teams.
