Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace - 3/9/22 @ 3:00pm (No UK TV)

Don't mind Palace tbf. I think they're one of the least offensive London clubs anyway. Liked their team of the late 80's with Wright and Bright up top and think Vieira is doing a very decent job overall, some cracking young players like Eze, Oliseh etc. Tough one, narrow win hopefully. -
Trying saying that after a few Seriously though, I think i'm going to enjoy watching this lad every single game he plays, watching his movement, enjoying his skill, footwork and finishing. He looks absolutely fantastic on a few hours training, with a new team away at Anfield, the mind boggles what he might do in a fully fit team with time.
-
Not just their online fans who are deluded either, state of some of them when we played in April at St James. Quite enjoying their struggle even though I like some of their players and don't mind Rodgers.
-
At full strength and playing the way we're capable, we demolish the pair of these like
-
Fernandes robbing his wages again
-
Nearly a brilliant contribution from Kelechi, only at the wrong end
-
They stood still which in this demented PL player turnover world, means they've regressed dramatically
-
Can't believe with the quality they have in attacking areas and midfield that Leicester can look this bad.
-
Yeah but if you listen to dribbling Drury, his prior pass was delicious
-
It's interesting and quite funny how Fernandes has gone from easily their most influential player of the past couple of years to doing basically fuck all in any game I watch. Assume tactical/system changes, but he's just a twisty faced passenger most of the time now.

They were my caffeine, saved me a fortune in Dunkin today...

Agree with you but EH's coaching is worth half a dozen places alone. That's where my optimism comes in that top 6-7 is achievable. Our first 11 closely matched Man City 2 weeks ago and that was before we signed one of the best young strikers in the world.
-
He only let anyone down if you paid any attention to him in the first place
-
Agree and i'm not sure enough people realize just what an immense signing he was. I mean he is actually probably rated as one of the top 3 young strikers in world football. He trained a few hours and tore Liverpool a new one in his first game, but aye 6/10 window
-
I think it's fine to mark the window as less than 10, even if the club feels like a 10 overall, but I think anyone actually complaining is a bit out of line. I mean it's human nature to want more, and we do have gaps in the squad, but if you have any perspective at all, the club is completely different now and only heading in one direction.
-
Leicester fans are pretty deluded like, and yet we get that tag. They did basically fuck all for about a 100 years prior to 2015.
-
Well that's about 95% of the forum It's an 8-9, arguably a 9 given the quality brought in. Think our first choice 11 is a match for pretty much anyone now. I suppose the club as a whole feels like a 10 now with EH in the overall equation.
-
We didn't even have a sporting director or a CEO 9 months ago, I don't know how we managed that first window as well as we did.
-
For me it's 8/10 and i'm even being a bit harsh as we have left ourselves slightly vulnerable with a lack of quality depth, which i've no doubt will come in time. Absolutely nobody on here knows for sure the financial conditions we operate under. I mean, this summer's window was the first one where we even had a technical/sporting director and a CEO, the prior window we had the owners doing everything. Think it's been brilliant and we even have one of the absolute top young strikers in world football at our club now, imagine that at any point over the last 15 years man.
-
Aye I get that in general but it's not just a year ago, you're still talking about wiping 15 years of neglect away in two windows. I think across the two windows we've done just about as much as we possibly could, without knowing all the financial details we operate under. Don't forget we didn't even have any structure in place in January, so this is the first window where that executive structure existed.
-
Have to say that's one of the most glass-half-empty views i've read on here. I give the window an 8/10, we signed some exceptional players, Pope was a big time upgrade on Dubs and we just happen to have landed one of the top young strikers in world football. Compared to a year ago, it's just night and day and the journey is only just getting underway. All that said, we do lack quality depth and i'm sure that will come.

Island heed with a face like blancmange there
