  1. Duff Barton Emre N'Zogbia Owen Viduka Milner is ineffective at the best of times, but he really is awful in this form. Drop him. I'd also rather see Edgar or Rozehnal at left-back than N'Zogbia, not only is he hopeless there but it leaves us without any pace whatsoever in the final 3rd.
  2. Tottenham accept bid from Aston Villa for Kevin-Prince Boateng.
  3. SSN: Routledge having medical with Aston Villa.
  4. Owen 7 - Worked really hard all night and made some beautiful runs, shame he was incorrectly flagged several times and when he wasn't, the through balls were consistently overhit. He will score goals when Viduka and Emre are back. Barton 7 - After watching Smith and Butt for so long it was refreshing to watch a mobile central midfielder who showed for the ball very well and was capable of playing a quick, short pass. Start him at the weekend.
  5. Who else can we play there? Roz? Carr? They'd do even worse. We'll get murdered in the second half no matter what Keegan does. They couldn't possibly do any worse and it would free up our best attacking player to.. you know.. attack.
  6. If N'Zogbia starts the second half at left-back then questions have to be asked of Keegan. He is getting raped.
  7. It didn't take us long to revert to looking nervous in possession, playing N'Zogbia at left-back and aimlessly pumping long balls up to Owen.
  8. Sissoko completes move to Juventus for £8.2M. Excellent business for Liverpool.

  10. The set-up sounds promising, as long as Keegan has the final say on transfers, but i'm still not sure what Wise brings to the table.
  11. “I do not know where that story came from,” Wenger wrote in his programme notes for Tuesday’s game against Newcastle United. “There is no truth in it at all. We have never been in touch with Middlesbrough about Jonathan Woodgate.” http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/01/28/Premier-League-Wenger-on-Woodgate-reports/
  12. Come on, he's not going to be a Director of Football. It's quite a coup to get him from Leeds just to assist Keegan.
  13. Why? Man City and Villa are probably the last two clubs who need to spend £7m on a central defender.
  14. There is no chance Quinn would ever sell him to us, anyway.
  15. I think the current panic is due it becoming clear that we're not going to be bringing anybody in during this window, and in half a season of relatively easy fixtures with our current squad we're still not beyond the threat of relegation. That said, with the quality of teams below, i can't see us going down. Any need to change the title of his thread because you disagree with it, by the way?
  16. You do realise for us to be relegated Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Wigan, Birmingham, Bolton and Reading all have to accumulate more points than us from now until the end of the season, don't you? Do you watch these teams?
  17. He's no Ameobi, though.
  18. Encouraging performance. Caçapa has looked classy, Duff dangerous, Carr competent, and Alan Smith has actually had a shot on goal. We deserved to convert one of those chances. Now let's see wether Keegan can get them to reproduce it in the second half.
  19. Very good start, there's a noticeable increase in our confidence with the ball.
  20. Post on GG: It really does read like someone on here writing a parody.
