Oh I forgot to mention, there was some girls football team training a couple of pitches across from me and the coach shouted to one of the girls "do you want to be relegated like Newcastle?" or something along those lines, I didn't quite hear the full thing, felt like saying something but I just got on with my own game.

I went to play football yesterday and I wore my Newcastle shirt and everyone just looked at me as if I was supposed to get a new team or something because we're not in the prem anymore, f*** that, will always be a Newcastle fan no matter what and I don't plan on hiding it just because we're a league lower.

Our problem is we can't replace everyone, we really need to sort our Cm's and strikers out along with probably a defender or two, so if he's willing to take a pay cut and stay then I'll be ok with him staying for one more season as long as he can do a job against championship opposition.

I took mine back to Norn Iron with me, I handed the flag to the girl in secruity at the airport and she look puzzled what to do with it "A flag??" so she just stuck it in the scanner and told me to walk on and get it at the other side. If fulham wasn't so close I would of gone to the game, but it wasn't really feasable after paying to come across to the boro game.

I just got home from the match now, been up for 24 hours straight and spent the night in Newcastle airport on a buzz, couldn't sleep. I think that's the best game I've ever been to, maybe not with the quality of play but more the atmosphere, even the people around me where up dancing about and singing, made it more enjoyable, bumped into some toon fans from Galway and Tipperary some good banter from like 1 in the morning to like half 5! Even bumped into a hull fan in the airport who was downbeat, all n all was well worth the trip!
