I actually can't wait for martins back even if it's just for the fact that he will stretch teams and give our midfield a bit more space on the ball, even if they are a bit usless but hopefully emre can stay fit (at least he can do something magic the odd time). Having smith and owen upfront is just making teams compress right down on our midfield because our frontline has no pace about it.

Our central midfield is non existant so we've never feeding any through balls to the strikers etc We can pass a bit now but we are still toothless going forward.

We need players who are comfortable on the ball and create space for themselves, I hate watching our midfield.

Same as owen to be fair, I used to like owen as a player but he offers nothing just like smith, our front line is too static.

We need 2 cm's and 2 strikers, 1 when martins is back. We've plaeyd well just our attacks in the final third have been a shade poor.

We've been good so far, enjoyed watching us for once One thing I'd improve though at half time is to get smith and owen linking up a bit more, it'll become predictable if we are just using the wings all the time.

I remember what you were saying when we were being linked with Yakubu few years ago. You said that he was the best we could get at present. What happened few weeks later, I wonder. Oh, thats right, we only signed Michael Owen! That worked out well. Bought to say, in the long run Yakubu would of definatly been the better option for us.

I have a smog mate (unfortunely) and he reckons woodgate has been the worst defender they've had this season. Not sure what to make of this or whether him coming back here would get him going again.
