Shevchenko doesn't succeed in the chelsea team simply because they don't play to the way he is suited to, because lets face it, he is not going to take people on and beat them, he needs crossers, balls over the top to latch onto.. but instead whenever I've watched chelsea he is forced out wide to create chances for drogba etc.. hence why he seems to be a failure so far.

Baros, Barry, Angel, Sorenson, Mellberg are all good enough for the CL. Baros and Angel are definately not. Barry is a good player and so is Mellberg and Sorenson is a very good keeper but i think it depends on what you class as a CL player, i would say good enough to play for one of the Quarter finalists atleast. Agreed, in a way. It's just hard to define what a "CL player" is. Lille-quality, or Real Madrid-quality? Young davis would be in with a shot, maybe I'm being biased becasue I'm from Northern Ireland, but what I've seen of him at villa and N.i against teams such as Spain, I believe he could preform at a decent standard in and against champions league opposition.

Aslong as they have never seen him play they might I would love Baines here though, he's impressed me a lot this season.

Gone are the days were we can just splash money around, infact if you look at arsenal they prove you don't need massive amounts of money, it's time we look for 'younger' talent. Aye he's a quality player, and with ashley cole gone now there is no chance we'd ever get him I wish Chelsea would play Bridge instead of cole mind, everytime I see Bridge play he seems more effective.
