I agree with all this to be honest. I was actually thinking earlier that if pulis was in charge, yes we'd still play shite football, but he knows how to make it work and his team plays as a team. Pardew can't even make the crap football work and the players look more like individuals out there than they ever have.

I honestly hope our players don't see that/ignore/it isn't how he acts around them at training etc because if you go into a game with that attitude, you might as well just forfeit the game.

While i'm 100% in agreement i do worry about who they would get. I agree they are more likely to fuck up the choice but the more he speaks, and the more crap football we play it may just be worth the risk. I'm sure there would be a lot of young up n coming managers with fresh ideas who want to make it big would jump at this job IMO.

If we are to follow a "model", Swansea are the sort of the model we should be following if we aren't going to spend a lot on players, they have a fairly attractive style that allows them to compete, especially in one off games and make best use of the players they do have, I mean brittan played in the conference did he not?

I honestly think that if you spend wisely.. And get a good footballing style to boot, you can compete with man utd etc I mean arsenal could compete if they actually sorted their defence out and actually bought a striker who suited their style.. Not 6ft + immobile sky scrapers.

Our league cup form has always pissed me off to be honest, it's even more winnable than the fa cup and even this year it could be Swansea v Bradford yet without fail we put in a shit performance and go out early.

Win a cup as the league is a bit too far. Get back into the champions league, I'd love to see us play teams like Dortmund, which brings me to another point.. I'd love us to play like them.. I know it's not 'success' as such but if all were doing at the moment is hover around in the bottom half of the table then I'd like us to be at least entertaining to watch (bit like arsenal in that play nice but never win owt). Being able to win away from home and win from being behind I'd count as a success too as right now it's fucking pitiful how bad we are at it.

But with the squad we have we should have no trouble staying up, the reason we are where we are is because of his god awful tactics. He is as much of a problem as the lack of squad depth imo. I'm not convinced we will sign anyone of note so pardew best sort out a way to make this team play or we are fucked.
