  1. How much is that in hundreds of billions?

    Joelinton

Head back to Brazil, Jow. Just get far, far away.
  3. £17m? Let's see.. Spread across five years minus the Trippier fee divided by Miggy's amortisation carry the 7.. Bargain.
  4. Apologies if posted already but shamelessly lifted from Reddit: I know there's more than enough of the season for it to change but holy shit if this wouldn't be amazing.
  5. He seems a proper weirdo. I've never known a current or former player to have such a disproportionately high opinion of himself compared to his actual career.
  6. If there's no FMV to consider and Man U want £50m each for Antony and Sancho I want £30m (allowing extra for the 'potential' tax on the other two for age).

    Jeff Hendrick

    Like a new signing.
  8. This is the problem. I've consistently said I want him on the bench for a year or two more but he's one of the most saleable assets that doesn't have a future as a starter. It's sad times but if it's anywhere near £20m I completely see why it's happening.
  9. So all this love over our badge just weeks prior means nothing to him? Fucking turncoat. Seriously though, if he can fund some FFP wiggle room I understand and wish him all the best. Be interesting to see what sort of fee he fetches.
  10. And to think I figured this thread couldn't get shitter until a sale actually happened.
  11. I was wholly unsurprised to find out it was Crumpy Gunt via a forum search.
  12. I've been reliably informed he's a total freak and an absolute weirdo, too.
  13. Well further to my previous posts if we squeezed £25m out of them then I'd accept we've made the best of a shit situation.
  14. Not trying to start an argument, genuinely just curiosity, but for the people rationalising with 'if we get good money for him'.. What do you think is good money for him? Because however much we value him, I think we'll be lucky to exceed £15m considering it appears he's pushing for the move, 33 years old and has 18 months on his contract.
  15. I keep telling myself there has to be more to this. Said it yesterday but I see no reason why the club or Howe would see value in this deal. The top end of what we could get for him is barely going to get a quality bench option, let alone someone that can offer the kind of leadership he does off the pitch, on the pitch, being the focal point of attack. Seriously fucking gutted about this.
  16. I appreciate there's not as big a pool of players to pick from compared to the men's game but I'm surprised this isn't taken more in to consideration tbh. I pissed myself laughing when someone recommended I tried out in goal just for my school team back in the day yet one quick scroll through squad lists on whoscored.com and I've seen there's at least two goalkeepers in the Super League that have the same declared height as me.. I'm 5 foot 6.
  17. I need some replays that focus on the 'keeper as that looks awful on his part.
  18. I wouldn't even say there is, tbh. I'm sure there'll be arguments over his age and the mistakes that have crept in (which I still think/hope are just from being mentally and physically exhausted). But the money we'd get for him would be a fraction of the cost to replace what he offers both on and off the pitch. And even if we could afford it, I'm not even sure there's a player available to us that could offer what he does in terms of leadership, somehow being the centre of our attacks despite being a full back, and his just generally being a fucking fantastic footballer. This rumour can get right in the bin. I'll be staying out of this thread for a while I think.
  19. Never bought the idea that he'd 'matured' just because he had the ability to become a quality PL striker. The whole 'fuck Brentford' thing stunk of dipshittery. Regardless of how much or little an impact it had on the club, it's just another example of bad judgement. Now imagine the fucking gall it takes to be courting a transfer to 'big clubs' from the club that paid your dumbass wages for 8 months before you've been able to repay them with even just one game of football. That's quite something. Even if we had interest and the room in our finances I wouldn't want us to touch him with a bargepole. Hilarious also that anyone would think a single person under Ashley's employ would be industrious enough to sneak a sell on clause to a sell on clause in. Is there evidence of that ever happening before or did it start from some wishful thinking?
  20. Don't even know why I asked I'm going both.
  21. Classic tasteful Daily Mail with their bullet point summary. Owen's son James, 17, had to give up on his hopes of becoming a footballer He was diagnosed with the incurable Stargardt disease at the age of eight Kevin De Bruyne is brilliant, but he's not the best. Alan Shearer

That final angle shows some considerably impressive ground he made up between the 'keeper's bad touch and nabbing it off him, considering that's at 33 and post-injuries.
  23. Was there anything in particular that gave that idea for people? Never saw it myself. Just seemed a serviceable but limited player to me, unhelped by some rotten injury luck at times. Reasonable at a number of things but didn't particularly excel at anything to take him up a level or two, especially for a club looking to finally pull away from relegation battles.
  24. Not to extend the conspiracy theories but I'm the other end of the country with a 46% hit rate so far of 7/15.
