  1. I wouldn't even say there is, tbh. I'm sure there'll be arguments over his age and the mistakes that have crept in (which I still think/hope are just from being mentally and physically exhausted). But the money we'd get for him would be a fraction of the cost to replace what he offers both on and off the pitch. And even if we could afford it, I'm not even sure there's a player available to us that could offer what he does in terms of leadership, somehow being the centre of our attacks despite being a full back, and his just generally being a fucking fantastic footballer. This rumour can get right in the bin. I'll be staying out of this thread for a while I think.
  2. Never bought the idea that he'd 'matured' just because he had the ability to become a quality PL striker. The whole 'fuck Brentford' thing stunk of dipshittery. Regardless of how much or little an impact it had on the club, it's just another example of bad judgement. Now imagine the fucking gall it takes to be courting a transfer to 'big clubs' from the club that paid your dumbass wages for 8 months before you've been able to repay them with even just one game of football. That's quite something. Even if we had interest and the room in our finances I wouldn't want us to touch him with a bargepole. Hilarious also that anyone would think a single person under Ashley's employ would be industrious enough to sneak a sell on clause to a sell on clause in. Is there evidence of that ever happening before or did it start from some wishful thinking?
  3. Don't even know why I asked I'm going both.
  4. Classic tasteful Daily Mail with their bullet point summary. Owen's son James, 17, had to give up on his hopes of becoming a footballer He was diagnosed with the incurable Stargardt disease at the age of eight Kevin De Bruyne is brilliant, but he's not the best. Alan Shearer

That final angle shows some considerably impressive ground he made up between the 'keeper's bad touch and nabbing it off him, considering that's at 33 and post-injuries.
  6. Was there anything in particular that gave that idea for people? Never saw it myself. Just seemed a serviceable but limited player to me, unhelped by some rotten injury luck at times. Reasonable at a number of things but didn't particularly excel at anything to take him up a level or two, especially for a club looking to finally pull away from relegation battles.
  7. Not to extend the conspiracy theories but I'm the other end of the country with a 46% hit rate so far of 7/15.
  8. Of course they're limited by whatever systems they're using at the moment but there's so much that could be done in due course to still allow for it to reach the widest audience possible via ballot whilst giving people some actual autonomy on where they end up sitting/standing. As Stev says, give a breakdown of a few more options rather than categories that hide behind smoke and mirrors. Hell, not many may use it but maybe even add an option of 'anywhere I don't care' which can plonk someone in one of the less desired areas. It may be too complicated but I wonder if they could introduce a window, maybe 48 hours or something where after successful ballot notifications go out it allows people to login and pick their seat on a first come first serve basis. It's not going to give everyone their favoured spot but it'd surely result in more happy campers than currently? I'll still apply each game anyway. It just feels like cutting your nose off to spite your face to say that you won't spend 5 minutes within a three or four day window applying, when the previous system often required waiting on a website for over an hour to find out if you'll snag a ticket. Even if you get a seat you don't want under the current system, it's not like there's not a queue of takers to pass it on to at face value.

Awesome. It'll be an honour to watch him pull up 5 minutes into his April return.
  11. Holy shit are there actually people saying switching to Mourinho is a smart move? I challenge anyone that thinks that is a smart move to imagine him with this squad but 'only' £100m-odd to spend on reinforcements in the summer. I'm sure he'd absolutely fucking relish the challenge.
  12. Been getting antsy of late as I hadn't been successful in the ballot since Fulham then realised even including the recently-concluded Luton ballot that's only three matches. Feels a bloody age ago. I know it's the least of the problems with ticketing but even the ballot application on mobile is a needless pain in the arse. So much scrolling up and down the page to get to the right place as you go through the screens to submit your application.
  13. I never watch SSN anymore. When did they decide to try and look like they're just chilling on a podcast or something? Looks utter shite. That's my focus because I don't have the energy to get annoyed at the inevitable exoneration of Man City.
  14. KDB? Yeah I'm not surprised. I'd be scared at the prospect of the wee man too.
  15. Imagine him coming on to nullify KDB tonight though, man.
  16. Hi guys not been keeping up with the forum tonight. What am I angry at him for this time? Thanks in advance. X
  17. You have to wonder where we'd be this season if he had him available.
  18. Oh yes commentators it's so sad we can't just wank off Man City without recourse. It's a fucking travesty. Fuck off.
  19. Fucking what? I was fuming that there was no yellow let alone it's a fucking THROW IN?
  20. Well that's Bruno's usual yellow wasted early doors.
