Okay but what three players are getting injured to replace those three?

Can't get over these takes. It's absolutely wild that anyone who thinks European competition in its current form is a closed shop could think this is in any way a step in the right direction. 'oh the teams that have pushed for the stifling of competition in existing leagues and cups are going to create and have even greater control over the rules of a breakaway league? Fantastic, parity for all!'.

The forum breaking for me at the final pen couldn't have been more perfect, too.

Ugh Bruno and that run up.
-
That couldn't have been more obvious.

All this chatting with security now feels like them proper overcompensating for just letting the freak go out and back of his entire own volition.

The more I watch it the more I don't understand why he would try that header.

I'll admit it; I'm terrified for Trips's inevitable penalty.

Fuck off Mudryk you lanky rodent.

At least we know we don't need to endure extra time I guess.

Un fucking believable.

Four minutes. Surprised it's that few tbh.

Double figures I bet.

Why do we hate throw ins so much? I swear we always take forever with them yet we never seem to work out how to get a man free for it. Not just tonight, either.

This fucking ref. It's almost like he decided he did us a favour by giving a yellow in the first 5 minutes, even though it should've been a red anyway. Has this cunt blown the whistle for anything other than a foul on them?

Got a lot of time for Roy. I certainly don't think it's a coincidence that the oldest English manager to keep up modern football is one that readily jumped at opportunities in a ton of different countries and cultures. Clearly happy to go outside his comfort zone which indicates he's happy to learn and adjust.

What a riveting read that was.

Cracking own goal.

Can't get over his passing sometimes. After some of the 'footballers' we've had in modern times it still feels so alien to not just see a ball get hit with pace and purpose, but such precision that I expect it to land at the feet of one of a team mate.

This is what I've always assumed it to be. Players are being pushed to the limit of their capabilities compared to previous generations which will trigger health issues that may have otherwise stayed under the surface. I wondered if it's increased news reporting too where instances may have gone under the radar in previous years. This Wikipedia entry lists what at first glance seems to be a fairly consistent history of players passing away due to heart conditions over the decades: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_association_football_players_who_died_during_their_careers On a side note it was surprising to see the number of times struck by lightning has occurred.

Just realised this run Everton are on would have them right in the mix but for the points deduction.

Seeing him with BDB earlier and Bruno on MOTD, I wonder when he'll finally look old enough that it doesn't look like one of our players has invited a ball boy in to the interview.

Still got bags of potential, does Yorks. Him and Vuckic are gonna make it, I'm sure of it.

He's made a good impact being given a break and coming off the bench before regaining his starting spot in the past. I hope there's a chance to do the same if/when some wingers are available. Even if we get a new starter in the summer I don't see him leaving. He could still play a big part as a back up for another couple of years if he's happy to imo. Unless we get too good an offer to turn down for FFP reasons, anyway.
