Not that im expecting much from the guy, but in all fairness he's never really had a proper chance to build a good Premier League team. As long as he doesn't dismantle this team just for the hell of 'stamping his mark', he should be fine if he just adds what's needed to simplly build upon the core group of fairly good players.

There were loads last season in La Liga. I cant think who the best freekick taker is in the world at the minute, maybe Ryan Taylor. It's quite amazing to think that when it comes to set pieces, he is kind of up there... :lol:

But Ranger's proven he can help create more of those chances that you state yourself we barely create. That's better than a striker with good finishing who seems so lethargic or 'injured' that he more often than not isn't even in the right place to attempt a shot on goal, and sure as hell doesn't help us retain possession or help the build up. Once again, more often than not, the build up play stops dead as soon as he recieves the ball.
