MON is an average chequebook manager. Would be such the wrong choice for this club as well, in terms of management style and personality. Ketsbaia man
-
I just love this idea that we're a selling club as we've sold one player who wanted to leave after relegation. Can't believe I'm even bothering entering into a debate about it. I'm out!
-
This.
-
We woldn't have been 1-0 down to Blackburn after about 5 minutes had Smith started instead of Tiote given this retarded logic you seem to have created. Correct. We would've been 2-0 down after he conceded a penalty as well.
-
You have to think we're in a fair financial state now to not be too bad an investment. Unless Ashley's still asking for ridiculous money.
-
One player in 3 years is your example? Could you have seen him staying after relegation, anyway? So you're basing this 'Ashley is a seller' on the assumption we're going to lose all of our best players at the end of the season? And like I say, I can see it happening, but it won't because Ashley's purposely cashing in. It's because he's an inept cunt that the players themselves don't want to work for.
-
Fucking hell, he's going to get Kinnear back to rid us of those dagos and darkies
-
It's going to happen when the atmosphere's like this. Heat of the moment and all that
-
Don't give a shit if we support him. Just support the team. Don't be chanting Pardew Out on his first home match (which I'm not saying people will, just an extreme example). Just egg on the team.
-
Fuck sake, man. This Ashley's a seller is one of my biggest pet hates, even though I fucking hate the man Build players up and sell them for a tidy sum? How often has this been done with that sole aim? We've sold players because they wanted to leave for better clubs and money and because we got relegated so they didn't want to hang around. But I'm not thinking of the exodus being Ashley's choice. I'm just thinking he's going to get a clueless manager in who, like Kinnear, doesn't 'rate' Enrique or something ridiculous. Breaks the team up. Or the players are so angry that they force a move.
-
Oh yeah I'm with you there mate. Just thought I'd throw in what I hope to happen too.
-
You and I both know that's exactly what he did. He's done it before. He'll do it again.
-
My thoughts exactly. So you don't think it makes a difference who the next manager is? We're destined for a certain spot in the table whether it's Jol or Pardew...Mourinho or Souness? Thank God we have this beautiful, forward-thinking viewpoint! Let's be ahead of the pack, sack our whole coaching staff! It makes no difference! IT'S ALL FATE! Come back, Kinnear. All is forgiven! Whether you were a tactical genius that worked the media perfectly, we still would've been fighting relegation!
-
Hughton. But seriously, Jol. We can dream.
-
Apathetic. How many times do we have to endure these pathetically stupid decisions? How can a millionaire be such an absolute fucktard?
-
Can't wait for the update in The morning after the morning after Hughton was sacked thread. Or can we make this bi-daily? The evening after Hughton was sacked thread?
-
Wow, not exactly endearing himself to the fans right now, is he?
-
Fair point right at the beginning. Shepherd had shares remember, he wasn't just employed by the Halls. That's all Llambias is, an employee. When everyone knows Ashley is the sole owner, it's going to end up aimed at him.
-
No offense meant, but that is really a dumb statement! All I hope is we sing his name for the full 90 minutes he's there. I don't care if it gets him and his team going. The man needs to be shown the love he deserves. Irks me that he didn't get a chance to say goodbye to the team ffs, he needs something.
-
Why Ipswich mentioned so much? If it happened I'd blow my load. Would dream of seeing the man in the street so I can give him just one handshake and tell him I love him and want his babies. But for the record, I reckon he'll do the same routine again. He'll go back to coach at first, but if they lose their manager, depending on the club he's at, I wouldn't be surprised to see him promoted again. Depends on whether he wants to take the chance again. I would say he wouldn't refuse.
-
We might. And they probably won't be able to teach them a single fucking thing else knowing this club. Can't argue with what it seems he's done over the years. We've had very good goalkeepers come through. Unbelievable that we've not got a single coach other than Beardsley and Stone... How stretched must they be right now??
-
8. Like others I'll wait and see the manager before bumping it to 9 or 10.
-
I'll just repeat what I said in the Hughton's sacked thread. Farewell Hughton, you'll always be welcome at St James' Park. You restored pride and dignity back into our club and our fans. It's just a shame you couldn't be treated with the same respect.
-
Fucking hell. 16 pages of saying no. And now I have to go back on that. TT, how can you say sacking the manager won't effect the club's placing? Like Ian says, what's the point in having one if that's the case? If we bring Martin Jol in, I'll go back to a yes tbh. But the likelihood of that is zilch, and we're going to end up with a Pardew-like character. In which case, I'm saying no.
