  1. No offense meant, but that is really a dumb statement! All I hope is we sing his name for the full 90 minutes he's there. I don't care if it gets him and his team going. The man needs to be shown the love he deserves. Irks me that he didn't get a chance to say goodbye to the team ffs, he needs something.
  2. Why Ipswich mentioned so much? If it happened I'd blow my load. Would dream of seeing the man in the street so I can give him just one handshake and tell him I love him and want his babies. But for the record, I reckon he'll do the same routine again. He'll go back to coach at first, but if they lose their manager, depending on the club he's at, I wouldn't be surprised to see him promoted again. Depends on whether he wants to take the chance again. I would say he wouldn't refuse.

    Paul Barron

We might. And they probably won't be able to teach them a single fucking thing else knowing this club. Can't argue with what it seems he's done over the years. We've had very good goalkeepers come through. Unbelievable that we've not got a single coach other than Beardsley and Stone... How stretched must they be right now??
  4. 8. Like others I'll wait and see the manager before bumping it to 9 or 10.

    Chris Hughton

I'll just repeat what I said in the Hughton's sacked thread. Farewell Hughton, you'll always be welcome at St James' Park. You restored pride and dignity back into our club and our fans. It's just a shame you couldn't be treated with the same respect.
  6. Fucking hell. 16 pages of saying no. And now I have to go back on that. TT, how can you say sacking the manager won't effect the club's placing? Like Ian says, what's the point in having one if that's the case? If we bring Martin Jol in, I'll go back to a yes tbh. But the likelihood of that is zilch, and we're going to end up with a Pardew-like character. In which case, I'm saying no.

    Colin Calderwood

What's that soundbite saying?? My sounds fucked on this comp.

    Harry Redknapp

Tbf it just seems like you're looking for anything to bitch at Redknapp for mate They always get soundbites off other managers when one gets sacked.
  9. All bets off regarding everything at the club. Genuinely have no clue where this is going. Who knows where we'll be and who'll be here come September 1st 2011. I'm scared.
  10. No chance. It'll be another also-ran of the 90s or early 00s.
  11. What a pointless thread. Just doesn't make sense in the slightest.
  12. Yep, no matter what you say on here, the people on here aren't going to be the idiots they catch in the street who they manage to get absolute retards quotes off. Very rarely, anyway!

    Danny Guthrie

    Guthrie for chairman.
  14. That'll be JFK then! Funny...I was thinking it could describe these guys better: http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTYXDNltOQLJEE3_Pd4-0Gw8vTF96OAKBOXg53Dzn95auq71lDJhttp://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQTF-K9iAmT3mvbF0GW9br7-SxZ-AtbvG3YcOS84Hg7cI-35UD9 Scarily, there's quite a few names, including all of those, that we could reel off. Too long a list, and he's probably stupid enough to give it to one of them.
  15. That article says it all. Absolute classlessness from fucking Ashley. The man you consider a 'lovely guy', who saved your fucking club's ass, and your money, and got us promoted back to the Premiership, and is halfway to consolidating our position in said league. You don't even give him a chance to say his goodbyes, other than bumping into a couple of our players by chance? Fucking cunts. WHAT THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED?? I was out drinking last night, I've come home to this. Un-fucking-real. Ashley better have a MASSIVE card up his sleeve. And I'm talking mind-blowing, to get out of this. Otherwise he'll never live this one down. People were giving him the second chance he deserves. Unless he gets someone credible in a couple days to prove he had someone lined up all along, this proves the man will never change. Farewell Hughton, you'll always be welcome at St James' Park. You restored pride and dignity back into our club and our fans. It's just a shame you couldn't be treated with the same respect.

We don't want to waste him on them. That vision, that creativity. He'd transform the England midfield.

Get the boy an England shirt.
  18. I don't get this idea that we can't get an assistant in until the end of the season alongside Hughton. We managed to get Dowie in with Shearer for a couple of months ffs. I'm sure someone, somewhere, will be willing to pop to Newcastle for the next 6 months to lend a helping hand.
  19. Would be very surprised to see Smith back at Leeds after his Manc stint.

    Sol Campbell

So he's had one good game and one bad game. Yes, he was appalling today. But the whole team was. He's clearly going to have lost a bit of his physical abilities. But I'm willing to give him a bit more time than one bad game after months of not playing.
  21. Thought people on here said he was probably going to be back for it?
  22. We missed Nolan as well. He's our leader, man. He might not be a great player, but he gives us something nobody else does in terms of leadership. Shola as captain is a joke. This. When I say presence, I'm not talking on-pitch, fighting for the ball, making himself known as such, but just for the lift that he clearly gives the team. He's a personality that we need. He talks, he directs. We do need him, as much as it pains me to say.
  23. He wasn't that far behind, it's not like it was Nolan, Jonas has a bit of pace in him. Challenge him a bit before giving up like that.
