Over 50k a week for Wes bloody Brown?
-
I think we should all wait and see how they do come January when all their best players go to Africa.
-
Chelsea areknocking them back out of spite I'd guess They wanted in for ages while the G14 looked down their noses at them for being nouveau riche
-
I don't rate Dawson but he was Spurs best defender tonight (although that's not saying much) and did well for large parts of the match. But as has been said before if he makes a single fuck up in the game and it costs you a goal then it's a bad day at the office.
-
Spurs' defence is one of the worst I've seen for years.
-
I thought you'd bite. He played okay but nowhere near as good as the papers seem to be making out today. A few of his through balls were excellent but generally we kept him under wraps. He had real trouble dealing with Lescott but made a mug of Jagielka a couple of times, he was pretty shit and the sooner Yobo is back the better. Tymoschuk was average. He dropped back to centre half for a while after their man had been sent off and just fouled McFadden constantly but got away with it. He was obviously better in midfield but nothing special.

Well hopefully the Kirkby move won't happen. It seems to be on shaky ground at the moment, Kenwright was slaughtered at the AGM and close to tears. Loads of people reckon it won't get planning permission regardless because of transport and green space issues.
-
Try telling that to my red mates
-
I hope he gets injured after 30 seconds. Sold out tonight, I left it late and was lucky to get a ticket. Crap seat though.
-
Nani's performances haven't been a patch on Young's this season imo.
-
I would be astonished if somebody never showed Chelsea vs QPR- West London Derby. Don't think your match will be on telly. Well it is. Well, I'm sitting here astonished. Especially at it not being an early kick off. The coppers must fancy a hard days work.

hmmmm this is hard but i would prefer both Lennon and Young over the other 2 wingers. The strikers dont look to strong and there must be an alternative to Taylor? Oh and i dont rate the 2 city keepers tbh Yeah, what is the captain of the U21 national side doing in there I don't rate Taylor at all regardless of whether he has been captain or not. It's like saying Igor Biscan and Djimi Traore must be good because they won the European Cup. David May must have been quality- look at all the medals he's got.
-
One of the most overrated players ever. Of all the regular match goers I know at Anfield, none of them rate him.
-
That's spot on mate. I don't think any red would feel comfortable in a boozer on County Rd of a matchday even when we play some run of the mill team like Wigan. I have sat in the home ends at Anfield many times- to varying reactions. Good experiences and bad experiences. Just depends what type of people you get around you but even when you're next to generally good natured lads I wouldn't go mad celebrating a goal like I normally would. If you take the piss then you can expect a reaction. On the whole, it's not as nasty as some other derbys but way too many people on here are confusing hatred/violence with passion. If that is the main criteria then Old Firm wins hands down with rubbish like Cardiff/Swansea also in the running.

Totally unrelated but someone told me that Villa have started playing music when they score, is this true brummie? Chelsea Dagger Yesterday, after Gardner swept the ball past the helpless Almunia, I was jumping around like a lunatic, when I realised - to my abject horror - that the PA was belting out Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis. First time it has ever happened. I could not believe what i was hearing. Anyway, today, our boards have gone into meltdown. As you may know, General Krulak (Lerner's right hand man on the board) posts on all our boards, and today on every one of them there was a wave of "what the f*** are you doing, never do it again" posts. By midday today, he posted this: (FitzGerald is our CEO) Thank f*** that has been stopped. Expecting you to chant along to such a shitty song after scoring a goal is quite horrifying. It's all a bit... League One. At least they've seen sense now.

You may be right but it will only work if Bent's the lone striker and either berba or Keane play ogg him: ------------------------------robbo----------------------------- chimbonda----kaboul----------------king------------bale ----------------------------huddlestone------------------ ------------------jenas----zokora--------steed ------------------------ keane or berbs------------------ --------------------------------bent-------------------------- nah dont like it tbh but might work away from home. Hopefully we'll play dirty and start fouling against city I was thinking more like: --------------------------robinson------------------------- chimbonda--------dawson-------kaboul----------bale ----------------------------tainio----------------------- lennon-------jenas----huddlestone------malbranque --------------------------bent/keane----------------------- You need to forget completely about accommodating the strikers. It's doing you more harm than good. I can't see King playing again any time soon either. You'd probably be better off for selling Berbatov in January and going with a team like the one I've posted until Ramos can bring in players (centre backs & a defensive midfielder) good enough for you to be able to play 2 up front. If you carry on with these stupid gung ho tactics no good will come of it.

What other foreign managers are there with Prem experience? Jean Tigana?
-
Robinson has got to be the worst keeper in the league. Was shit for the pen and Jerome's strike should have been saved easily. You could tell where he was going to put that one about 10 seconds before he hit it. Any opposition manager should just get their team to take as many long range shots as possible when they play Spurs. That 4-3-3 system Ramos is playing is wank and is only being used to accommodate the 4 strikers in every match I think they should go 4-5-1 and give Huddlestone a free role in the middle. His pass today for the 2nd goal was fucking sublime. 5 in midfield would get the best out of him and also offer the rubbish defence some much needed protection.

I thought when we played them it was the 3rd, must have been the 4th Crazy that you keep getting them though
-
You're not f****** joking, we get them in the third round every f****** year. It is a conspiracy. We had them a few years ago in the third round when Rooney played his first game against us Good draw today though, Oldham at home!
-
We were linked with this guy about a year ago. I've seen his name in stories about Arsenal & Man Utd as well. Probably a load of agent rubbish.

You're in no danger of going down and it could possibly be too late already to make up ground and qualify for the UEFA. I know the points difference isn't massive but the sheer number of clubs who have realistic European aspirations and are ahead of you makes it difficult- City, Villa, Blackburn, Portsmouth, West Ham and ourselves. You could overtake maybe 2 or 3 but can you go past 4 or 5 to qualify for the UEFA? I doubt it. With that in mind, the best thing you could do is have some stability. Give Allardyce until the end of the season to settle in and the players get used to his methods, see if he brings in what is required in the January window. If, by the end of the season the team's form is looking rosier and a couple of the new players have come good then you'll be in a much better position to achieve things next year than if you get another new gaffer in part way through the season and effectively start all over again. That's what the board should do, have a bit of patience and nouse. I fully expect them to do the opposite and sack Allardyce though. Ashley will want the boo boys on side so he can carry on doing publicity stunts in the stands with his replica top on.
