    Good Friday football

Not that bad, two big derbies in Super League and WBA on later
  2. Agbonlahor and Walcott are ridiculous choices. Bloody hell. Agbonlahor hasn't scored in something like 16/17 matches and it's not even like he's made it through based on proven quality in the past ala Owen. Walcott has had, what.. one good match this season? Two maybe. Green should be there instead of Carson as well.

    My Eventful Day

Wonder if he'd like a season at Everton first. And dazza, you live in Hale? Posh b******. There's a lovely chippy in Hale Barns. Aye i no the one you mean i fink, near corbans and the square? and nah, alot of my mates and my ex live in hale/hale barns/bowdon, im just up the road in sale, about 2 mins away, still a nice place, cantona and schmeichel used 2 live at the top of my road, got Jonny Evans, Eagles and jason orange just up road from me now lol. Hale is lush though, how you know it fella? Yeah, at the Square. I know it through work, doing site visits. We went to some house where the original building had been bought and knocked down, some architect has designed a modern house for it and had it built years ago, then sold it on and the new owners have decided it wasn't big enough and were having a big extension put on it. Been round Sale way as well, and Altricham, go all over Greater Manchester. Loads of work in Salford at the minute, was in Ordsall recently. Not so nice in those parts

  5. Does anyone else keep thinking Darius Vassel is playing btw? Say Forssell properly ffs.
  6. McFadden "deceptively quick" He runs like he's shit himself. Started quite bright here though.
  7. Well there's definitely goals in this if your players are up for it. The Jaidi/Ridgewell pairing is poor and the keeper is a bit ropey as well. Would have played N'Zogbia though. Your team looks disjointed.
  8. Beginning of the end for Curbishley no matter what spin they put on it. If Curbishley genuinely wanted one then it would have been done when he first got the job or during the following summer when they stayed up. These managers always say they were involved and then end up on the dole within a season.
  9. I agree. And i also agree that Eboue needs to leave Arsenal, hes not a right winger, needs a team that will play him at RB. He should go manure tbh to replace the ageing and forever injured Neville. Arsene wouldn't sell to them though. Surely? Bale hasnt impressed me atall either when hes played. Set piece play he has seemed absolute quality, but overall match play, he hasnt impressed me. Hes been out alot though hasnt he KD? Whats his tally for the season? I remember that goal against us Can see Eboue going to Everton/Villa meself. I follow your club quite closely Ash, my dad and my best friends are both Arsenal fans. What you making of Wallcott? Wenger keeps picking Eboue, who, is largely ineffective at RW, and slows down your play. Walcott should start for me, atleast until Rosicky is back. Hopefully not us. We need a good right back but I'd hate to see that tosser in a blue shirt. He's one of the biggest twats in football.

We always lose at Craven Cottage. And injuries meant we had to start the same team that played 120mins against Fiorentina a few days ago. With 4 defenders and a keeper on the bench.

    Aiden McGeady

aye its him trey cried a lot for him to Osasuna in the summer so maybe he is great I am sure there were Spanish tears in Mallorca the day Marcelino left. I am sure there were Spanish tears in Coruna the day Luque left. I am sure there were Spanish tears in Vila-real the day Enrique left. The difference being that Cuellar has already adapted to the British style of play. Ok, the league is only half as good as the Premiership but it gives him a massive step up on the other players you mentioned. I think he'd be a good signing for any English team, looks a good player.
  12. What about Yobo? Nope. I forgot Agger though.
  13. Gallas isn't better than King. Or Lescott, Toure, Ferdinand, Vidic, Carvalho and Terry. So overrated. Can't be bothered doing a full list tbh.

Carson is so average. £10m for him?! There's not a cat's chance in hell we'll be paying that amount of money for Carson. In fact, it is looking increasingly likely we won't be buying him at all, if rumours are correct. I'm not surprised. You can do better.

  17. You're entitled to your opinion, why would I try to change an opinion. I haven't been to SJP for about 6 years but it was very quiet. Away fans are always loud, it's a day out. Again, i WAS NOT REFFERING TO AWAY FANS. I still want a real answer. You and your fans reffer to them as "the great kop" or "the best fans in europe". If they are the best fans in europe then the standard is f****** abysmal. And no, i'm not saying that in europe, on your night, you can make the place a cauldron but that is no where near enough to be considered "great". It's easy to make a noise against your Milans or Barcelona. Try fulham or Bolton. The reason we have an organisation called RTK (reclaim the kop) is becasue we know the atmosphere on thereis complete and utter s***, theres about 500 of us who sing every match, out of over 13,000. Most of the rest just sit there in silence, asking people to sit down etc. The reason its good on european nights is cos groups of lads can get tickets together. Things are improving as the RTK sit together, but in a stand that big, the noise of a few hundred against thousands w3ho dont give a f*** is hard to make an atmosphere. The papers describe it as a cauldron, and sometimes it can be louder than anywhere, but 95% of the time any match going red will admit its s****. Well, unfortunately match going reds are few and far between when it comes to talking football with someone either in work, the pub or on the internet. Most Liverpool 'fans' are clueless and they're usually the ones that talk the loudest as well.

Look at that Boro team above. No way is that team better than ours. We have the players but not the organisation. They're all over the place. Then you look at Everton whose squad is marginally better, but playing with organisation and understanding look where they are and what you can achieve. Look back to Bobby's times as well, our defence was pretty s*** on paper yet they played with an understanding of their role and they were solid. I'd say we have a just as good if not better defence now than then, yet they look like conceding more regularly. Beg to differ there. I think our squad is a lot better than yours, not marginally. Especially in defence and midfield. The only Newcastle player I'd genuinely like to see here is N'Zogbia but even he would spend a lot of his time in and out of the side competing with Pienaar, Osman & Arteta for a place. Martins is your next best player imo but he blows hot and cold & would be back up for Yakubu. I disagree there. I think your squad is playing better and almost to their full potential, therefore it seems that way. Most of your squad are players who were average to good players but now who are organized and know exactly what their and everyone else's in the team's job is and are thriving. Best example is Yobo, never thought he was that good remember him being dominated often and making quite a few mistakes, now he's a f****** rock, because the team is so organised and disciplined, his confidence has grown and so have his performances. Anyone who actually plays football knows that's how it goes. Our team lacks direction, lacks discipline and lacks organisation. You don't get anywhere without them now. Everton has it in abundance, Newcastle has next to none. Swap the squads over this season, Newcastle's squad with Everton's 'system', we'd be top 8 at least, I honestly believe that. The only place you outclass us (individually) is in centre midfield. With Arteta and Cahill. Yobo has been a good player for us for 5 years, that's why he cost £5m years ago when he was only 20 and is now captain of his country. He used to have the odd concentration lapse but nothing major. If you thought he wasn't very good then that's your opinion but I think most people would disagree. Him Cryuff turning Henry in his own penalty box was a particular highlight in his first season I think we outclass you all over the pitch apart from centre forward where if Michael Owen and Viduka ever get their acts together you would have more depth than us with Martins also in the mix. I'm not sure they will recover their old form though. You're on a par with us for the RB position as well probably but that's it. Anyway, how bad are Arsenal bottling this league title?

  21. He was last season, and would be this season if Sheff United realised he has to be in the box. Nice to see 3 former Scunny strikers in that last - can't really work out why Martin Paterson isn't in that list though (or Jack Cork, though strictly he's a Chelsea player). Thinking even further, Joe Murphy is regarded as one of the best keepers outside the Premiership yet still doesn't make the list. They've basically missed any player out who doesn't play for a fashionable club. Stupid list. Because Watford are really 'flavour of the month'. Looking again, am shocked at the exclusion of Joe Mattock and Richard Chaplow amongst others. Owen Garvan, Mark Beevers, the Palace kids.... surely really good players for the future. They've got Anthony Gerrard on there who is shit. His ex-Everton reserves team mate Daniel Fox was also at Walsall with Gerrard and did very well, getting himself a big move to Coventry in January yet Fox doesn't make the list. Then again, I suppose his cousin isn't the England captain.
  22. Liverpool v Man Utd final I think.
  23. Saw this about a week ago, it's absolutely awful. Loads of the best young players aren't on the list. I can only assume someone who hardly watches the lower divisions put it together.
