  1. I don't think they're the people who have something wrong with them, to be honest
  2. Wouldn't be thrilled with Lampard, but would 100% get behind him or basically any other manager who isn't Bruce. We have to be somewhat realistic and consider that our top managerial targets might not fancy the relegation scrap this season, no matter the money involved.
  3. They haven't even been in the door a week man
  4. I think he'll still be gone this week, but patience is the key here. They've just got the keys, I'm sure in their mind Bruce being in charge for one more training session or even one more game wouldn't be the end of their 5 year plan. They aren't looking at this through the eyes of us fans who are sick to death of him.
  5. Sincere apologies to various people for this
  6. In the grand scheme of things I don't think it would really make much difference in their eyes, given that they see this as a 5+ year project. It'll probably depend on how discussions have gone with the players and whether they've been given the impression that Jones would do an adequate job as caretaker.
  7. I'd imagine there's a hell of a lot for them to work through behind closed doors, it'll happen but it's entirely possible he could still he here next week IMO.
  8. You'd like to think a competent manager and some smart spending in January would be enough to keep us in the league, aided further by the increase in spirits that will be felt in our upcoming home matches.
  9. If this goes through, I'd fully expect Bruce to be gone before our next game like. Easy way to score quick points with the fans.
  10. Fair point but we've got no paper planes left to throw, guess we'll just have to suck it up and stick with them.
  11. Yep, for me I'm not thinking about big money signings, or any of that. All I care about is getting my club back, finally getting my sport back. Still expecting the disappointment to follow, as this is Newcastle after all and we can't have nice things. But jesus, if this goes through and Mike Ashley is finally booted out of our club, and Bruce follows, that to me is as good as winning the Champions League.
  12. Refuse to get sucked in. Something will come out soon to shoot it down, absolutely nailed on.
  13. He'll be sacked if we're looking doomed by mid-March, when it's too late.
  14. The defending is far more to blame, for me. It's not like we're caught completely off guard by ASM losing it, still had more than enough players back to defend the attack.
  15. Would rather play Italy in the final than Spain like, we always struggle against their brand of football. Not that getting there is by any means a foregone conclusion mind.
  16. Denmark will be a big test like. We've done pretty much everything right so far, especially defensively, but a bit like the last World Cup, I still don't really feel like we've been fully tested. Germany were/are very average and Ukraine just rolled over tonight. Not 100% convinced but we're building some good momentum and improving with each match.
  17. Italy are by far the best "team" in the tournament.
  18. I thought Italy would do well coming into it, but they've exceeded my expectations. They're by far the best "team" I've seen so far. France have better individuals but Italy are much more well-drilled IMO, I think they'd beat them.
  19. Does sound like the kind of thing I would do tbf
  20. Turned it off straight away when he went down, flashbacks to Vivien Foe immediately. The fact that the cameras were still rolling 10 minutes later is a disgrace.
  21. Might've made sense to scrap it during Covid when home advantage has been less impactful. In general would prefer to keep it though.
  22. This would be the perfect time for him to walk away tbh. Resign now having finished decently before it all goes to shit next season; he's got to know the collapse is coming after we have an inevitably shite transfer window, missing out on Willock and probably losing ASM and/or Almiron.
  23. Always happy to see teams with shit camera angles relegated.
  24. Great stuff. Even looking beyond their silverware in recent years, Leicester are the epitome of what we can only dream of Newcastle being. A club full of people who care, from top to bottom, and want give it their best possible crack on the pitch.
