The difference between the squad's is they have slightly more depth and slightly more quality. I see that as encouraging though, just promoted and nearly on a par with a fairly secure Premiership team.

We started a 7-a-side league last night, due to short notice for the game we could only get 8 players. We held it to 0-0 until half time, then we all got knackered due to not playing for a couple years and began to ship goals, ended up losing 7-1. It was just annoying how fitness is such a massive factor, we were playing nice football and creating chances (they had an monster keeper, about 6'5 and basically covered all the goal) but as soon as we lost the ball they would just boot it up the field, sometimes not even to anybody, but would just rush up the field. Began to get very tiring having to run back and they basically won because of that. Bit shit. Yeah we have a couple of annoying players, one of my mates is one of those who thinks he's class, got the customised boots and all sorts, thinks he can play anywhere etc... he constantly gives out instructions and criticism and it's so fucking annoying. Nothing worse than being told to do stuff by someone worse than you to start with. He'll be benched next week.

Shame, was looking forward to see how he played after a couple of goals gave him a bit of confidence. Fucking desperate times up front now, have to pray this Ben Arfa deal comes off.

Don't need one. Barton, Gosling, Guthrie and at a push Nolan, Perch and Smith is decent enough for us this season. We need a striker and cover on the wings so we don't have to push one of the above out there.

Sewelly is usually a good poster but he spouted some rubbish about La Liga and the Premiership earlier, christ, cliche bingo. I'll be delighted if we pull this one off, if he signs and keeps fit I would be confident of staying up. One or two more additions are still needed to be sure though.

Bollocks, you're blowing this way out of proportion. He's positively helped teams to 5 Ligue 1 titles at the age of 23. It's not as if he went round picking fights with everybody in his way you know, you're making him out to be some kind of mental anarchist. 5 teams? He's only been a serious part of two winning teams, and he was hardly a top player for either l'OM or Lyon. Deschamps kept him on the substitutes bench most of the time. He clearly has mental stability issues, but I think this can be overcome. Also, if we buy him for less than 7 million euros, we are probaly selling at a profit. Cleverly will leave and we will have to spend to replace him, which will result in a net loss. Whatever man, he has 5 Ligue 1 titles in his locker and appearences, assists and goals in that time. That already puts him ahead of Cleverley. Aye but Cleverly helped Watford survive in the Championship. Have you actually seen Cleverley play? Head and shoulders above anything we have in the centre of the park.
