Nolan gets dropped, as Barton is a much better player. Sticking my neck out here but I reckon we wouldn't be in the relegation zone now if Barton had stayed fit. Him coming in for the last games would be a massive boost and could be the on field spark we need. The more I think about the Nolan signing the more I'm dumbfounded as to what they were thinking. He's better than Butt though.

If we allow them to force themselves on us and roll over and take it (which is what we've doing all season) we'll lose comfortably, I was certain if Hughton or Kinnear was in charge we would have lost this. Still think we've got too many bottlers and not enough quality in the middle of the park to win, but a draw seems quite likely, which I think I'd take. I still think we're more likely to win against Spurs and I don't think a point would be the end of the world. Obviously 3 would be perfect but I don't see where the quality to overwhelm Stoke's shit fucking hoofball cunt tactics is going to come from.

Honestly, some of you lot on here.

He's the exact opposite of a "luxury" player. He's a player who'll probably get you around the same amount of goals regardless of the kind of service he's getting because he's capable of making himself chances out of nothing, but not capable of putting it away when he's given stuff on a plate. The lad is utterly and completely random. Randomness is not something you need in a relegation scrap. Biggest myth going, most of his goals are normal goals that have been set up for him, he's actually a decent finisher but doesn't help himself by never being in the positions. And the complete lack of service renders him ineffective in the final 3rd 95% of the game, same with Owen, neither are willing to scrap and that is what we need.

So who in our team do you think is more reliable in terms of scoring goals then? Owen if given chances, the rest of the strikers are shit.

He's a luxury player, not one you can rely on to score goals or be in the right positions.
