Both teams will cancel each other out until some foreign bloke scores a scrappy winner in the 119th minute. He doesn't break down play though, he runs around a lot and gets in people's faces but you'll rarely see him intercept a pass like a Makelele or Carrick who are true defensive midfielders. Barton is just as good as getting in people's faces (haaa) but can use the ball once he gets it. Barton is more injury prone but I thought we were talking about ability?

Don't write off the Arsenal & Chelsea games just yet, can see us picking up a point or two from those.

got 3 the other week Before yesterday we'd scored in every single home game. We're the league's eighth top scorers, with Everton scoring just one more and Arsenal five. For all that's gone on, scoring really hasn't been an issue so I've no idea where Rob is coming from. And the defence has kept some impressive clean sheets. The problem is that when we score, they score - the slightest step up from the opposition and we capitulate, that's our big problem. If Lovenkrands had scored yesterday, Everton would have too, I've no doubt. Yeah, wasn't surprised yesterday that we actually looked less likely to concede with 10 than 11 men. We seem to not know what to do at the start of games, whether to defend or attack and that shows up as we usually do neither and get caught out at the back. If we were to play like City under Sven - defensive but looking to break at the first opportunity I think we'd be fine. It's just this uncertainty that fucks us over.
